Will Charles Rangel Be Forced From Congress Before the Ethics Rules Change?

After an 18-month investigation, Representative Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.)  faces a House trial in which eight members (four Democrats and four Republicans) will rule on the findings. The alleged violations are reported to include some most serious ever leveled against a sitting member of Congress. From misuse of rent-controlled apartments in New York City and failure to disclose income from a villa in the Dominican Republic to reports that he exchanged official favors - a tax loophole for oil driller Nabors Industries Ltd. - in exchange for a $1 million gift to the Charles Rangel Center at City College of New York.  Despite his growing problems, Rangle is still trying to act like he nothing is wrong. For more on Rangle's legal troubles you can check out almost any publication to get their take from Christian Science Monitor, Boston.com or Speakers Lobby at Fox News.

What makes Rangle's current troubles so bad is the fact that as of last November he was one of seven members of the Congressional Black Caucus under a full-scale investigation for ethics violations.  It would have been 8 but the committee conducting the investigations agreed to defer to the Justice Department's investigation involving Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.  As of today 5 have been cleared which as far as I'm concerned does not mean they are innocent, it just means Democrats control the investigative tools, and Republicans are too damn scared of being called racists to push the issue. Maxine Waters meanwhile is still under investigated and as I said Charles Rangle is being tried.  Is it any wonder Nancy Pelosi and 20 members of the CBC are working on legislation that would change the rules that govern the "Ethics Panel"?  Any bets on whether or not they get the changes completed in time to save Rangle's butt?

The CBC is a racist organization that now has one of it's former members presently residing in the White House doing all he can to destroy America.  Any government group that meets to advance the wants and needs of its members, based upon their race, is inherently racist.  It is also unconstitutional for any subversive groups to be supported by the government of the United States. Need I ask you what the MSM and the left would do if some white members of Congress decided to form the "White Congressional Caucus"?  The CBC is a race baiting organization that has been exploiting their race by embracing tactics that continually use racism as it's main theme. Not to mention a majority of the members of the CBC are vocal supporters of the Marxist Black Liberation Theology which is not just anti-American, but ant-white.

Some of the rule changes the CBC would like to see made to the the Office of Congressional Ethics are as follows;

There is a good chance that the story behind the story is that Rangel is the 4th ranking Democrat, by seniority, in the House.

This means that he has the chairmanship of the House Ways and Means Committee—the committee that determines federal taxation. And because of this investigation, he has had to step down from this chairmanship.

However, #3 among senior House Democrats is Dave Obey, who is a total lickspittle and toady of Nancy Pelosi and her agenda. He belongs to the small cabal of extreme leftist 1960s socialist-radicals among the Democrats.

He is also chairman of the MOST important committee in the House, the Committee on Appropriations. This is the committee that determines where every penny the US government spends goes.

And Dave Obey is not running for reelection!

If the Democrats retain control of the House, this would mean that Charlie Rangel would be in complete control of the agenda, as chairman of the Appropriations Committee.

Charlie Rangel is prior service military. He fought in the Korean War, was wounded and almost captured or killed by the Chinese, and still led part of his unit to safety when they were almost encircled by the Chinese. He received both the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his actions.

This is enough for the radical socialists to hate Charlie Rangel. But they also know that if Charlie Rangel becomes chairman of the Appropriations Committee, even if the Democrats retain control of both houses of congress, it will be an end to their agenda.

Charlie Rangel doesn’t work for them. Charlie Rangel works for Charlie Rangel.

So as far as the radical cabal is concerned, Charlie Rangel must go.

Yes, Dems will throw Rangle under the back of the bus. He is old, in ill health, not the power figure he was in the past. His time is up. He is just a “useful idiot” whose usefulness has passed.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Trafficant was at least entertaining. Rangel is just a criminal. I wonder how long it will be before the race card is dropped.

No. The ethics issues Rangel faces are resume enhancers for Democrats.

Rangel is a thug and bum. But naturally his Harlem constituents would re-elect him even if Jesse Jackson opposed him.

Nope, he will be thrown under the bus as they panic about November.

I heard this could drag until after the elections and he could get reelected in November.

That seem pointless, but his trial is scheduled for September. This guy is toast.

Indeed, if they had proper values and were ethical he would not have been there in the first place.
