FreeRepublic.Com: Most Recent "Activity" Display Selection Now Failing?

Freerepublic has long had three "display" choices: Choices that determine how we (the readers) rank the items displayed on the left side of FreeRepublic
* Articles * Activity * Comments
Choose "Articles" and you get the articles listed in the order that they were posted. This is the same order that they show up in the right hand column.
Choose "Activity" and you (should) get the articles listed in the order that they are being commented upon: That is, the most recent article with the most recent comment gets listed first, then the next most-recent comment, third most recent, etc. (This is NOT the same order that they show up in the right hand column, and always includes many older threads than the last 10 or 15.)
Well - the past three days the "Activity" selection is failing: Once chosen, NO threads of any kind in any order are shown, and only the following is displayed in italics, for some reason)

So, what changed in the FreeRepublic world? Hackers or Denial of Service attacks? A change to the server operating system(s)?

I have noticed that, since the server went down a few Sundays ago, there has been a huge increase in the number of double posts. Even the number of double threads has increased.

Well our state flags have been absent since the last big shut down too. We just see an X although the name of the state pops up if you hover your mouse over it.

My interwebs is broken.
I dont’s have no col-yums.
(not everyone has their personalized settings set-up the same way you do)
Anyhow, I have never had much use for the “Activity” tab.
