The Good: Newt Gets a Political Endorsement for President. The Bad: It’s Howard Dean

(Fox News)- Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich won backing for a potential presidential bid from an unlikely place Sunday — the former head of the Democratic Party.

Howard Dean, speaking on “Fox News Sunday,” would not go so far as to endorse Gingrich but said the Republican politician would provide a sorely needed “intellectual” voice in his party’s top tier.

“I don’t agree with very much that Newt Gingrich wants to do, but the biggest difference is Newt has a ton of ideas to move the country forward — he did when he was speaker. There are no ideas in the Republican Party right now in the Congress. They’re the party of no,” said Dean, a former presidential candidate himself. “They desperately need some intellectual leadership. Whatever you think of Newt Gingrich, he can supply intellectual leadership, so I hope he does run.”

Newt as a retread?? No thanks. Tried it once and he let conservatives down. Nothing has changed. he is still a party elite. Not in the best interest of the people, and conservatives in general.

Newt is all about ideas, and most of them bad ones.

Nothing has changed. he is still a party elite.
Elite? He reminds me of the guy in a wrinkled suit and scuffed up shoes hanging around laughing at their pathetic jokes trying to fit in with the elite.

Newt did have a great line this morning on FNS. Deen was talking about the White House’s fear of the Sherrod story when Newt said something to the effect of: “If they’re this afraid of Glen Beck, what will they do about a threat like Iran.”

Newt is NOT a liberal.
In the end though it’s a moot point. His personal history makes him toast from the outset. It’s a shame because he can kick anyone’s ass in a debate.

“Fitting. I never want Newt anywhere near our House.”

We’re on the same page. Newt is an intelligent man, but he’s not worthy of the White House. He lacks integrity and courage.

"Maybe as a Veep candidate?"

I'm not sure. I would like to think that would be a great option but none of us would want his personal baggage to become a campaign issue. I don't know that it would, I'm just postulating.

“Newt is NOT a liberal.”

He is a RINO, which is just the same.

“It’s a shame because he can kick anyone’s ass in a debate.”

Big deal. So can McClintock, but occupying the White House takes far more than just winning debates.

Hey Newt,

Read our lips: “We don’t want a RINO like you to be our president...EVER!”

This creep is a wishy-washy RINO who changes his positions from day-to-day! This ass hat bought into the AGW crap. He probably thinks Cap and Trade is just swell!

So in closing Newt, let me just say: FU** OFF RINO!

"but occupying the White House takes far more than just winning debates."

True enough. It takes a lot of things. Mostly it takes organization and tons of money.
So who ya gonna get?
