So when will they show up? I would like to be 100% with you but until things get really, really bad, I do not see the adults showing up.

California law is essentially identical to Arizona’s...

Just not enforced - as usual...

Nice of her to say so. And boy, she sure knows how to run an effective campaign -- y'know, assuming that her campaign goal is to piss off *everyone*. This dumb ass is deliberately throwing the race.

No one is saying that a new “Constitution” would be anywhere NEAR as good as that of the Founding Fathers....

Of course, you are right. The delegates to a new Constitutional Convention would not be fit to shine the shoes of the original framers...the Founding Fathers. But, we are going downhill anyway...why not just get it over with? It is too late to stop.

“No one is saying that a new “Constitution” would be anywhere NEAR as good as that of the Founding Fathers....”

Near as good???????????? How about an unmitigated disaster?

It would undoubtably be the end of the Founders Great Experiment, and the death nell for Freedom in the World.....

Near as good???????????

A understament of the grossest sort!

The trouble is: It seems that the ‘sleeping giant’, once stirred, yawns and goes back to sleep! I’m serious! It gets awakened, growls, then lies down and goes back to sleep! Either that- it’s drunk, or on drugs, and goes back to sleep. Not to seem cynical; but I’m wondering if it’s dead! If it’s still alive somewhere in America, I hope it wakes up soon!

"...the reality is ANY Republican is always better than ANY Democrat."

Right...
and if Juan McLame had won in '08, the entire country would be pissed at HIM and all Republicans now instead of Obambi...

The fact is, at some point electing ANY Republican results in the demise of the GOP.

"The CORRECT answer is for a 2nd Constitutional Convention to be held...we only need 1 or 2 more states to agree...and for that august body to then DISSOLVE the United States of America! With that dead carcass out of the way, the delegates could then form a NEW government, one that is of, by, and for the PEOPLE!"

Here, let me burst your poor sad little fantasy bubble:
Recall that it was "the PEOPLE" who elected the current denizen of the "White House."

What makes you think that such a Constitutional Convention wouldn't result in the formation of an absolute monarchy? Or perhaps a Socialist Peoples Paradise?

Only a damn fool would think the result could ever be better than the Constitution we have now.
