Gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman - who has campaign billboards and Spanish-language ads in California declaring "NO to the Arizona law" - told talk show hosts Wednesday that the same controversial immigration law should be allowed to stand in Arizona.
"You know, I'm running for the governor of California so I had to make a decision," Whitman said. "Does the Arizona law make sense for California? And I have said no, I don't think the Arizona law makes sense for California because we have a much bigger state with much bigger geography."

Ladies and Gentlemen: The CORRECT answer is for a 2nd Constitutional Convention to be held...we only need 1 or 2 more states to agree...and for that august body to then DISSOLVE the United States of America! The primary is over. Meg ran what can only be described as a brilliant campaign.
It was evident from the first week she began running her radio spots, she had it going on. Perfect message for that race, well presented. She won fair and square.

Let me just say this, when Bush pushed his Immigration Amnesty Plan, the groundswell from his supporters who were against Amnesty stopped Bush and the Congress in their tracks.
The same thing happened when Bush submitted Harriet Meyers for the open SCOTUS seat.
I can only assume McCain would have backed down like Bush did. Conjecture is a wonderful thing, it allows both of us to state an opinion that cannot be easily refuted. BTW - If you haven't noticed, the public outcry against Obama's Policies have had absolutely no impact in stopping their passage. With McCain, we would have had a fighting chance.

Since California is already bankrupt, going deeper into debt by dealing with Mexico’s poverty problem really is no big deal. Whitman is a nitwit.
I take it then that you don’t like the current Constitution and would like to have it fully scrapped, not just half scrapped like it’s now.
However, Bush STILL advanced liberalism with by expanding Medicaid and with Medicare part D and advanced numerous other progressive programs.

(c) Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city, county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly prohibited.
