Illegal Immigrant Who Killed Nun In Accident Was Released By Feds
The Washington Times ^ | August 2, 2010 | Stephen Dinan

The man suspected of drunken driving and killing a Catholic nun in Prince William County this weekend is an illegal immigrant who was awaiting deportation and who federal immigration authorities had released pending further proceedings, police said Monday.

The man, Carlos Montano, a county resident, had been arrested by police twice before on drunk-driving charges, and on at least one of those occasions county police reported him to federal authorities.

"We have determined that he is in the country illegally. He has been arrested by Prince William County Police in the past," said Officer Jonathan Perok, a police spokesman, who said U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was notified at the time of one of those arrests.

Officer Perock said Montano was in deportation proceedings at the time of this weekend's killing, but was out on his own recognizance.

A call to ICE was not immediately returned, but the incident raises questions about the agency's policy of only detaining some illegal immigrants awaiting deportation, while releasing others.

Oh forgot, there are different rules for we mere citizens and undocumented democrats.

Another case of anti-white racism demonstrated here with this pro-illegal alien ruling to free the criminal alien. It serves to help satiate the demands of activist groups who demand amnesty (some of who have ties within the White House).

Filling up those collection plates IS a priority. Following the US Rule of Law - not so much!

How does an illegal get a (now revoked) driver’s license to begin with?

What’s ironic is that a Catholic nun was killed. Isn’t the Catholic Church big on harboring illegal aliens?

It’s a shame those nuns’ employers are implicit in this.

I know this is common, but how can any sane person let an illegal free on their own recognizance, when it’s obvious there is no recognizance for someone here illegally? I mean, if you are here illegally, you don’t have to tell immigration the name of the person you are visiting, and you have no official address.

Man, this country has some freaking stupid people in positions of power.

Man, this country has some freaking stupid people in positions of power.

That's an understatement!

Imagine how many federal workers could be fired resulting in the country saving billions of $$ on paychecks and benefits "saved" (as this administration uses the term).

While it’s unfortunate, it’s not unheard of that when the government provides no fair justice, or worse, takes the side of criminals, vigilantism results.

And despite government efforts to slander vigilantism, the truth is that vigilantism rarely if ever begins with violence. Instead it begins as a plea for the government to be responsible, or at least responsive. From there begins a long process, again a non-violent one, of seeking any alternative to prevent criminals from running roughshod over the honest citizenry.

Often in this, the disreputable government will even turn on the vigilantes before it will reform, or stop favoring the criminals. Often this is done with an effort to vilify the vigilantes as dangerous criminals themselves, and even seek to persecute them.

The last step of non-violent vigilantes is to try to drive out the criminals with the threat of force. And guess where much of America is right now with their patience of violent and criminal illegal aliens?

The citizenry has had enough, and is demanding that the illegals leave, especially the violent criminal illegals. Yet even now, the federal government strongly opposes this final, non-violent effort.

So what will happen? Since government refuses to act, and worse, takes the side of the criminals against its citizens, with each day there is the likelihood that the citizens are going to lose patience.

And vigilantism will result.

For example, imaging the utter horror of the federal government, if this murderous drunk driver were to be found dangling from a tree?

They would never, ever say that it was his punishment for being a murderer. Nor would they even mention the victim he murdered, except in passing, or perhaps that she was to blame for her murderer meeting his just fate.

And the federal government would rant and rave at the “racism” involved in hanging a freed murderer, and how awful and horrible our society is to do such a thing. And they would threaten dire revenge against any vigilante they caught, or could blame for the death of the “poor, unfortunate immigrant”.

But by then it would be too late. Despite their cries and pleas, once violent vigilantism has begun, it follows its course of purging a region of criminals. The smarter criminals, of course, leave on their own; but there are always a stubborn cluster that tries to hold out against the mob they have abused.

After it is done, of course, the history belongs to the whiny liberal, who caused the problem in the first place. But this matters little to the people who are freed of criminal oppression, and even less to those criminals who briefly decorated sturdy oaks.

When someone asks you what kind of amnesty you want for illegals, just spell it out - NUN!

And why was he able to drive given the previous charges?

You are assuming he was allowed to drive in the first place. Being an illegal alien, he did not have a valid driver's license to be taken away from him.
