President Barack Obama is pledging a relentless fight to rebuild the economy as millions of families struggle.
Obama is telling union officials in Washington, "We are not giving up, and we are not giving in."
The president spoke in personal terms Wednesday about the plight of people who have not been able to find work in the deep, enduring recession. He spoke of spouses who must have uncomfortable conversations about not being able to afford their homes any more or not being able to save money for college funds.
The president spoke to the AFL-CIO Executive Council.

At any rate, I've got an idea for Prez Obummer that I'm willing to give him for free, namely the "WUN!" button. You know, "Whip Unemployment Now!". What do you think?
How much more fighting does he have to do?? Next year we will discover that he has won both the war AND the battle and that the economy is DEAD!!
He has also been relentless in his efforts to bend over for anyone, anywhere.
The fight is over. The economy lost.
I am sure he will fight for the economy with the same relentless efforts we saw with the Gulf Oil spill....Golf, more golf, and vacations.
There's never been any doubt that Obama will be relentless in his efforts to increase taxes and spending.
I like what "Twit Of The Decade" Gibbs said today also - "We are going to stand by the American people until we fix this. (re: economy & jobs).

Translation: The United States isn't quite yet on the ash heap of history...so I still have work to do. When Michelle gets home from Spain, I'll suggest an immediate vacation so she can unwind...perhaps Rio.
