The RIGHT to marry is where in the Constitution.

Is this true for NAMBLA, animals, multiple marriages?

The United States needs to break into two. Let the commies and progressive have California and a couple of other states. Nothing will change their backward thinking.

The only drawback to this is how do you link the far left coast with New England?

"The RIGHT to marry is where in the Constitution."

None I know of however the problem stems from the State and Federal Governments giving perks (tax deductions, death benefits from Social security etc.) to those who engage in marriage. Because of such then the equal protection clause comes into play.

This should be a lesson to all of us about the law of unintended consequences.

Facinating how our Founders, courts, Congresses, Presidents missed this for well over 200 years, that Gay marriage is a Constitutional right.

Considering the Founders believed homosexuality was a serious crime, we can conclude they never intended homosexual marriage to be a right.

There needs to be a day when judges like this were forced out of their robes and into picking up guns and fighting a civil war. This sort of tyranny has to stop some time.

For the same reason a straight judge wouldn’t recuse him or herself. This should have gone before a jury, but then again, it already did (Prop 8 VOTE) and also, who can find any hetero’s in San Fran?

Maybe you should read the opinion then. You know where assumptions get you.

I know the history of the case. And I made absolutely no statements about that history. My statements were regarding the judge’s opinion not my own.

How? Prop 8 does not deny anyone the right to marry, period. Saying that it does is deceitful.

When the Federal Marriage definition amendment was being debated a bunch of RINOS voted no, I believe including McCain, because they claimed the DOMA was on the books and individual states had their own state amendments. Well any idiot would of known the gays would of judge shopped and found someone to overturn these laws. A real Republican would order an immediate vote on the amendment now and put the D’s and RINOS on record as in favor of gay marriage. This is going to the Supreme Court and it will be 5-4 for the fags with Kennedy the swing vote. Kennedy has been lock stock and barrel in support of the gay agenda.

"Considering the Founders believed homosexuality was a serious crime, we can conclude they never intended homosexual marriage to be a right.

True but the Founders would have never allowed Marriage status to confer a financial benefit to the citizens either.

>>They could offer free air travel to California and I’d stay home.<<

That is what I was hinting at in a previous post. I HAVE free air travel and I avoid California. I’m done with that state.

-- You really think he is going to stay this decision. I expect that it will go into affect immediately. --

FWIW, I read at patterico.com that the motion to stay was filed yesterday. I guess the defendants had a good idea which way the decision was going to go.

Where is abortion mentioned? It doesn’t matter - the courts now makes the rules.

Agreed. That was my point. Sickening.
