Six more years of McCain is not something I want to even think about.

John in one hand and J.D, in the other, what is wrong in AZ?

Something in the water?

It should be a slam dunk for J.D.!

But then again, I voted in Minnesota in the last election cycle and we had a senatorial race...

What does that mean? She is off trying to do reality shows like the one with Kate Gosselin.

Now wonder her daughter was trying to shop one with Levi.

It makes absolutely no sense for someone who wants to build a political base to go off camping in a reality show with Kate Gosselin.

Palin and Gosselin both have shows on The Learning Channel. I'm sure TLC set it up as a promo.

JD’s only chance is to get Mega-Mac (Meghan McCain) involved in the campaign.

Oh, stop with the ‘blowehard’ crappola. That’s standard McCain speak. It’s total nonsense in regard to Hayworth, and you know it. McCain can’t win without lies and his supporters are just as untrustworthy.

And blowhard????

McCain was voted BLOWHARD by the people who have to work with the old liar.

ARIZONA! You better pay attention to the records of these candidates!!!! MCCAIN IS LYING!

Capitol Hill staffers rate their bosses.
Worst Follower 2. John McCain (R-Ariz.)

Show Horse 2. John McCain (R-Ariz.)

Hottest Temper 2. John McCain (R-Ariz.) known to snap at staff when the cameras are off

He’s an EMBARRASSMENT!

“The thought of [John McCain] being president sends a cold chill down my spine”Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Miss.), also a senior member of the Appropriations panel, told the Boston Globe recently. “He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me.” Washington Post

McCain: “ Those who live closest are the ones who can get here. Everyone in the world should have the opportunity through an orderly process to come to this country.”
Source: AZ Senate Debate, in Tucson Citizen Oct 16, 2004

* May 29, 2003 interview: McCain: “Amnesty has to be an important part because there are people who have lived in this country for 20, 30 or 40 years, who have raised children here and pay taxes here and are not citizens.“

* Dec. 15, 2000 press release: McCain: ”I support the Latino and Immigrant Fairness Act (LIFA). Negotiations between the White House and the leadership, which endorsed more limited immigration reform, have resulted in a compromise.... this bill makes meaningful but insufficient progress on amnesty for those wrongly denied it.“

*“America is still the land of opportunity,” Senator John McCain recently said. “And we’re not going to erect barriers and fences.” June 26, 2007 National Review

*SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, R-ARIZ.: I do not favor using troops because they are not trained for it. They don’t have the kind of qualifications necessary. I have strongly favored us using all the technical equipment that our military has including satellites, including aircraft and other technical means. May, 2001

He's not a blowhard, he's just plain spoken and people aren't used to that.

McCain has spent almost $20 million in ads against JD, $15 million just in the last three months. All of McCain's ads have smeared JD with outright lies or not so subtle inuendo. They've been pretty creepy ads, but a lot of people believed them since JD didn't have the money to get his message out. Sarah pretty much caused the donations to dry up when she endorsed McCain at the beginning of the campaign (she promised before JD had announced). It caused a great deal of confusion in the conservative circles.

If those debates didn’t draw him close, it’s over. The only thing that could change it would be if McCain committed a huge gaffe. I don’t think the TV ads will change as many minds as his strong debate performance should have.

Let's see, the choice is a "blowhard", or an erratic, lying, Amnesty-supporting, Washington-insider RINO with Progressive tendencies?

And who's also tight with fellow supreme-asshole-RINO, Lindsey Grahamnesty?

Not a difficult choice for me.

True, DocH, but if rrrod is correct, then the real question is why a better candidate wasn’t put up against McCain.

I look at the supposed front-runners for the Republican nomination for president, and it makes me want to move to New Zealand (except they won’t take old coots like me).

And that statement by McCain in 2003 was complete nonsense since there was an amnesty for illegal aliens in 1986. Those here in 2003 and now came mostly since 1986, waiting for the next amnesty.

Or maybe you're just an anti-Southern bigot who bigotry is drawn out by JD's down home, North Carolina mannerisms and speech. He's just a big guy with a big voice.

” ... It should be a slam dunk for J.D.! ... “

Yes it should be by any rational standard that includes a concern for the survival of Our Precious Republic.

Unfortunately AZ GOP Leadership, Senator Kyle, businesses, lobbyists, drug dealers, Mexico, and other assorted questionable characters are backing Juan!

It’s a parade of corruption on display. What happened in Bell, Ca is happening here. Namely, distracted voters are just following the media hype against their own self-interests! Makes you wonder if US citizens really deserve to enjoy freedom.
I guess it doesn’t really matter, because they are going to lose it in ways they can’t even imagine in the near future. IMHO.
