A group of high school students attending a conservative leadership conference in Washington, D.C. said they were ordered by a security guard to stop singing the national anthem during a June 25 visit to the Lincoln Memorial.

You could have avoided a lot of the questions asked in this thread by simply posting more information from the article:
Instead of doing as they were instructed, Gassman said the students resumed the song – an impromptu form of civil disobedience.
“If their idea of civil disobedience is singing the national anthem, then so be it,” Gassman said. “Let them disobey.”
YAF posted video reportedly shot just after the alleged encounter with the security officer. It shows students loudly singing the anthem.

To conservatives, liberals demonstrate a dislike of country and Christianity because they disrupt the liberal's desire for equality. The US cannot be better than other countries nor Christianity more acclaimed than other religions; that would mean inequalities. So liberals denigrate the country and Christianity. Those park police are Faciests power hungry nut-jobs. Back in 1995 I went on my Senior Trip to Washington D.C. One one of the days we were there we went to the Washington Monument there was a long line wrapping around the monument. There were a bunch of Pigeons there one of the students we were with tossed a pebble at one of the Pigeon's and the Park Policeman assigned to guard the monument came unglued and actually threatened that if he didn't stop throwing pebbles that “he could have seven helicopters there in five minutes,” I kid you not.

I think I’ve met that guy . . . only he was a park ranger. I was in D.C. chaperoning a youth trip and we visited the Lincoln Memorial one night in the rain. There was hardly anybody there. We were standing around the (then closed for the night) concession stand over between the Lincoln Memoria and the Korean Memorial. The kids started singing something (no, it wasn’t the national anthem) and some park ranger came over and read them the riot act. I don’t really think the kids were being disrespectful and they surely weren’t hurting anybody but this guy treated it like it was crime of the damn century. They sure take singing seriously in Washington, D.C.
