Embattled Rep. Maxine Waters on Friday blamed the Bush administration for her ethics problems -- saying she had to intervene with the Treasury Department on behalf of minority-owned banks seeking federal bailout funds -- including one tied to her husband -- because the Treasury Department wouldn't schedule its own appointments.

I think the real solution here...to prevent this “mistake” from ever happening again...is to make all senators and congressmen sell all stock assets or place them all into a blind trust. Everything...even what the spouse owns....needs to go. I’m pretty sure we can write a 2,000 page bill and make this pass with the Democratic team available today. (Sarcastically spoken of course).
Yes Maxine, there is nothing wrong at Fannie Mae and Franklin Raines did a wonderful job there. We know how you think. Doofus.
When does the Blame Bush Card hit its limit?
Makes interesting reading.
Surprised? Just another corrupt politician in the party of corruption.
And the universe is how large?
Maxine comes from a district in which a large majority of the voters do not care about her alleged lack of ethics. She will have 0 problems being re-elected.
i.e., she well represents her constituents.
“How is this woman doing in her reelection effort? Any chance she can be defeated? “
I think her district is so gerrymandered that only her family can vote.
LOL
The “Bush’s fault” meme has SOOOOOOOOO jumped the shark.
LOL
I heard she’s in deep trouble there, apparently her favorability has dropped, so i guess she may well be in big trouble.

In about 4 1/2 billion years, the Sun will become a "red giant," expanding to nearly the current orbit of the earth, causing the atmosphere to boil away.... Shortly after that, the construction on I-35 is scheduled to be completed, and the "Blame Bush Card" will expire.

That's what they said about Michigan Cong Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick who just
lost her bid for an 8th term Aug 4. She's the 8th incumbent to be ousted by a
frustrated electorate. More at enews.earthlink.net........
Beautiful downtown Detroit.........Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Fitzpatrick's home.
"Mommy lost? I'm out of office and in jail on ethics violation.
How'm I gonna pay off my house without Congressional earmarks?"
“They would not do their job, so I had to be unethical.”
I don’t believe this for a second;the Homeys would NEVAH turn they back on a Sista!
Same old, same old. Whenever a liberal is in deep do-do, they automatically go into their "Tolerance and Compassion Act."
QUESTION Do her working class constituents know what Waters used their tax dollars for (/snix)? That their tax dollars helped finance a luxurious lifestyle for OneUnited bank chairman and CEO Kevin Cohee, including a Porsche and a mansion on the exclusive Pacific Coast Highway.
Cohee's high-flying perks came despite his having been charged in 2007 with felonies after his arrest on suspicion of possessing cocaine, crack cocaine and concentrated cannabis, according to the Los LA County DA's office. The case was dismissed the next year after Cohee completed a drug diversion program.
Cohee was also arrested in 2007 after a woman filed a complaint alleging that Cohee had forcibly sodomized her, according to public records. Prosecutors did not pursue the assault charge.

I hear that, these days, Cohee has the affirmative action office of Harvard Law School on speed-dial.
