McCain tries to align Hayworth with Obama (McNasty Alert)
The Arizona Daily Star, Tucson, Ariz. ^ | 2010-08-14 | Rhonda Bodfield

In a rapid turnaround trying to capitalize on a J.D Hayworth comment at a tea party rally earlier this week, U.S. Sen. John McCain released a new web video drumming Hayworth for reportedly preferring President Obama to the Republican incumbent senator.

The video begins with a picture of President Obama and lists a litany of criticisms, from the 9.5 percent unemployment rate, to the $13 trillion national debt and the lawsuit against Arizona’s immigration law. The text interrupts with, “but J.D. says he’d rather have Barack Obama as president.”

Really, Juan?

"I have to tell you, [Obama] is a decent person, a person that you
do not have to be scared [of] as president of the United States."

U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, 10 OCT. 2008

Its beyond obvious....heck I would even say “Statement of Fact”....that John McCain’s internal polling shows him losing to JD.....no one so far ahead in media “polls” has ever been this desperate around election time.

George Soros is nervous about McCain

With the polls showing McCain far ahead, why the desperation?

a caller to Rush yesterday nailed it. If he wins, McCain, who will be pushing 80, will turn into Arlen Specter. Doddling into senility with nothing to lose, he will turn into an even bigger RINO pain in our backsides.

No doubt about that

Arizonan’s should realize that, they send McCain back....his plans for Illegal Alien Amnesty will do away with SB 1070

I don't live in AZ, but I wouldn't vote for McCain for the position of town crier. In the end he will screw his constituents because really - why should he care what they think. The dude is like 76 years old. Old representatives are always a pain because they work for themselves. Mandartory retirement should be part of the government as well - yeah I'm old enough to say it.

If his political schemes work as well as they did in ‘08, Hayworth can start packing for D.C.
Retire, McCain. You aren’t improving your legacy.

No, not really... he’s a pissy person who has learned the art of the political poker face... smiles a lot, and says, “aw gee” a lot. Inside, the grey mater is frazzeled and freyed, and his boiling point is just above freezing. why folks continue to vote for him is beyond me...

Just a curiosity here, but is there a purpose behind this race for McCain to stay a year or two as he wins the race, and then pass this position onto a relative via the governor?

>>> Wow. This is a new low, even for McVain.

Associated Press - August 10, 2010 11:14 PM ET

“”PHOENIX (AP) - John McCain’s Republican primary challenger suggests the country would be worse off had McCain won the 2008 presidential election.

Former congressman J.D. Hayworth has been arguing that McCain isn’t conservative enough.

Responding to a question at a Phoenix tea party meeting Monday, Hayworth says he doesn’t like President Barack Obama, but a moderate Republican would be even worse than the Democrat.””

The old saying applies. If you can’t run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.

Arizona voted for McCain for president. Telling all those voters they voted wrong was yet one more unnecessary foot in mouth blunder. One of many. He should stand by the remark if he means it, but shouldn’t whine like this if he gets spanked.

If McCain wins, it won’t be because of Palin. It will be giftwrapped from Hayworth. At the rate Hayworth is going he will do well to get even 25%.

McCain throws more mud in one week in a primary , than he did in the entire presidental campaign. You may call me crazy, but I am thinking more and more that he threw the election.

Still defending Sarah huh?. Before her lovefest, JD was only about 5-10% behind McCain. Bottom line Palin’s hands are all over this McCain victory.

Of course he threw the election, how else could someone have $20 million left over in their campaign chest when most candidates are in the hole?
