Maybe they can undo the outrageous precedent of the Kelo case in Connecticut - before Obama gets to pack the court with another Marxist.

“Redefining people's property rights out of existence.” (Lake) Tahoe private beaches aren't private anymore. If bureaucrats now insist on enforcing that judicial decree, look for a lawsuit ... don't be surprised if the state loses — and the state's highest court is declared in violation of the nation's highest law.

Unless I am missing something here would this also not include ocean beaches in California?

There is no need to. The lot is empty and slated to stay that way. Nothing is planned for it since the company that won it isn't expanding.

Kelo was all for nothing.

I love the hypocrisy of that bumper sticker--they live, work, and play at the lake yet it's my job to keep it pristine.

The City eventually agreed to move Kelo’s house to a new location and to pay substantial additional compensation to other homeowners. The redeveloper was unable to obtain financing and had to abandon the redevelopment project, leaving the land as an empty lot

Yes, she did. The lot remains empty today, though. That's why it turned out to be a complete waste.
