Massachusetts (Reuters) - President Barack Obama on Thursday made four recess job appointments to his administration, including a new U.S. ambassador to El Salvador, postponing the need for Senate approval.
Recess appointments, which have been made by presidents of both parties, allow a president to temporarily bypass the Senate confirmation process required for senior federal posts by filling vacant positions while lawmakers are on vacation.

Did Bush make any such appointments?
I'll be darned, he's resigning! Oh, wait, my mistake, I took him at his word.
“Postponing the need for Senate approval.”
In other words, the cowardly bastards in the Senate don’t want to have to ask any kind of controversial questions of one of Premier Hussein’s Czars while they are already desperately trying to hold on to “their” seats.
This is cover for the Dhimmies ahead of the November elections, and nothing else.
Quite a few, although in his defense, the Dems blocked pretty much every appointment he tried, so he had little choice if he was going to have an adequately staffed government.
I have to say that I feel differently about Obama's appointments, because even though the GOP tries to block them, so many of them are manifestly seditious.
Every President does.
Thank you both.
Obama feels he has lost the Dem support and needs to make appointments outside of the DNC controlled Congress.
Sneakin’ In da Freaks!
I was trying to do a llittle research to see who the 4 are-I am sure they are of the socialst commie variety
Birds of a feather.......
Caliphates don’t need Senate confirmation. It’s beneath them.
Did any of these four have committee hearings at least? Were they blocked by the GOP? Or were they like the new Medicare Director who never even had a hearing scheduled by the Dems?
including a new U.S. ambassador to El SalvadorThanks bd476.
President Barack Obama has appointed Maria del Carmen Aponte to be the next American ambassador to El Salvador. Aponte, a La Raza devotee, was nominated in 1998 by Bill Clinton to be ambassador to the Domincan Republic, but her name was withdrawn after revelations that she had intimate ties to an agent of the DGI, the Cuban intelligence agency.

**Elisabeth Hagen, Agriculture Department’s undersecretary for food safety
**Winslow Sargeant, chief counsel for advocacy at the Small Business Administration
**Richard Sorian, assistant secretary for public affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services.
Cute saying and all, but has not a damn thing to do with recess appointments, which prove that this damned prez indeed has a ton of tools at his disposal, and is being guided in their use.
He ain't hardly nekkid. His agenda is being fulfilled.
Transparency ... Chicago style.
You have to scroll almost all the way down to the bottom to see the list of appointments, but the whole document is an interesting read.
