Obama: Tee-ing off nation, 1 Sunday at a time
Boston Herald ^ | 8/23/10 | Gayle Fee & Laura Raposa

EDGARTOWN - Another Sunday, another missed opportunity for President Obama to prove to America he’s not a Muslim.

But instead of attending church services at one of the dozens and dozens of quaint, island Christian churches yesterday morning, the commander in chief hit Our Lady of the Fairways, aka the Vineyard Golf Club, yet again, to play 18.

Obama again teed off with Chicago pal Eric Whitaker and aide Marvin Nicholson . Rounding out the foursome was Bill Lewis, a regular Vineyard vacationer who played with Obama and Whitaker last year. Once again, the press corps was kept far, far away from the presidential golf party.

Perhaps the Leader of the Free World is a little sensitive about his game. Because our spies report that Barry was hacking away at a ball in the bunker on the 12th hole - a la Judge Elihu Smails - before giving up and throwing it onto the green. Shades of Bill Clinton!

Thank you.

These frequent golf outings reek of mendacity but what is it?

Golf is where the mafia go to avoid being overheard. . . .

You sir, have got it.

This sure isn’t happening:

Rom.12:2

[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The opposite is what is happening!

THIS is what’s happening:

Rom 1:28-32

28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

But you see that's where a “religion” of Islam can step in. They want to appear righteous and pious. People have have lost their moral bearing. Many are totally confused and then there is STRICT Islam to the rescue.

They will point to Christianity and say, you're all hypocrites. You aren't perfect (no kidding). Then they'll point to Islam and notice how they are intolerant to any criticism of Islam. They pray. They are “religious”. They don't have “situational ethics”.

People are being tossed to and fro out there. We Christians have not been doing our job. This should NEVER be happening in the U.S.. WE should be converting THEM to Christianity. Mush of Christianity is humanism and they don't see the difference. The U.S. is ripe for the picking.

You hit it on the head. He's a narcissist and as such is an atheist by definition.

I never recalled President Reagan going to church that often and President Clinton more was little more than a window dressing Christian. I don't vote for the theological fit.

There is something sinister about someone who would lie about his faith. We shan't tread the ground of voter gullibility. Those who would vote based upon identity is plain wrong whoever does it.

That's kind of silly. Every Sunday in America, golf courses are filled with people that aren't Muslims. Some of them are even Christians. Not that Obama isn't a dirtbag, or anything.

Why would he go to church when he thinks that only bitter bigots “cling” to the Bible? He orders Christian symbols to be covered when he speaks at Georgetown University. Whatever he may be, he’s not a Christian.

Does anyone here think that THE 1 could get on any of the golf courses if he wasn’t who he is? I doubt that he could play half of them if he didn’t hold the title that he has.

“The president’s handlers have said Obama doesn’t attend services regularly because he doesn’t want to be “hugely disruptive to congregations.””M/i>

President Bush used to slip into a small church (Catholic, or Episcopalian -- not sure which) near the White House for noon prayer. He was seen there by more than one Freeper. Not disruptive at all.

Should read:

Interesting observation, considering how Barack and Michelle's 'date night' in NYC resulted in half of Manhattan being under lockdown.

In ‘12 (if he lasts that long!!), when he is booted out by his employers, zero will be the most well rested president ever!!

And, if he improves his game, he can join Tiger on the PGA circuit!!

(One thing zero is teaching America is that we don’t need a president!! Give us a Congress that abides by its charter, and we’re good!!)

Or the poor Seattle area float-plane pilot who had two F-15s scramble from Portland Oregon at above mach speed creating sonic booms over Puget Sound causing 911 to be shut down because of a flood of calls about the booms. Talk about disruption. Oh and the float-plane destination was 17 miles from where Air Force One was parked.

He can claim all he wants that his presence in a church would disrupt things. But I am sure that he is a major disruption to the other golfers at any golf course he graces with his presence. And I bet those golfers are much less forgiving of the disruption than any church goer would be.

And what about the disruption caused by his fund raiser in LA. People there are still angry for his tying up traffic for hours while he was raising money for the Dems. It wasn’t even state business that put their lives on hold.
