You know, you find a lot of formerly radical now moderate Muslims and former Muslims who are now of another faith willing to tell the truth about Islam and Muslim goals but you never seem to hear anything from those hordes of moderates that are supposed to be the mainstream in the Muslim faith. You'd think that especially in this country where so many are here because they fled horrible situations that it would be quite common to hear moderates speaking out and even organizing against the radicals and making their presence known. Seems like there are either an awful lot of "moderates" who aren't really moderate or an awful lot who are moderate but being systematically intimidated into silence.

That's the way of all fascists. David Horowitz was a darling of the radical revolutionary press in the 60s, but after his "conversion" to conservatism, he not only couldn't get any mainstream publishers to call him back, he now routinely gets attacked by the leftists at campuses where he is invited to speak by conservative student groups. Radical gays won't let ex-gays speak, either, and go to great lengths to silence them.

Muslims who have converted to Christianity will all tell you the same thing: Don’t believe what the Muslims say.

There are NO moderates, only press agents for real Muslims who have their goal of domination, world domination and we are in the way.

“You’d think that especially in this country where so many are here because they fled horrible situations that it would be quite common to hear moderates speaking out and even organizing against the radicals and making their presence known”

I think you answer your own question in your last sentence...” an awful lot who are moderate but being systematically intimidated into silence.”
Many have fled, and they DO still feel intimidated, even though no one may have directly threatened them here, the fear is still there because it’s the norm in their previous culture & background that they fled.

Another explanation may be that people who are more secular muslims feel that each person’s practice of the religion is between himself & God and it isn’t their place to condemn how another practices.

Most likely, the State Run Media has no interest in interviewing moderate Muslims, unless it fits with the Pravda of the day.

Another interpretation would be that moderate Muslims have adapted Reagans’s rule and speak no ill of fellow Muslims.

Obviously, placing a mosque at this location gins up opposition, and we may conclude that Imam Rauf enjoys the publicity, much like Osama bin Laden enjoyed the initial publicity from 9/11. Rauf knows that the Obama Regime supports him, and that he will be able to raise more money because of the controversy.

I am starting to think we are going about this all wrong.

My understanding is that Faisal Abdul Rauf does not even have the money at this time to purchase the building.

100 million is not a lot of money these days. We raised the money through private donations to build the WWII memorial. With a few big contributors, (Rush, Hanity etc) and the rest of us we could snatch this property from the grip of darkness and turn it into something appropriate. No government intervention just American ingenuity at its best.

Or are we just going to submit?

I was glad to read something sensible ... and telling...from this author. I am hoping there are more who feel as he does, and will stand up and say it. And, I want to be trusting, truly.

I have, in that spirit, posted this on FaceBook also. Hope it increases the readership of what he wrote.

There are no moderate mohammedens. In all likely hood those mohammedens calling for the GZM to be moved are not members of the same sect of mohammed's cult that wants to build GZM. The two major sects are in competition for restoring the caliphate, they hate each other.

So one of these sects can criticize the other and be labeled moderate? Phoooey!

were the Muslim developers of the mosque genuinely moderate . . . they probably would never have proposed such a thing in the first place.

Exactly!

“The imam heading up this $100 million project, Faisal Abdul Rauf, enjoys the full support of the sympathizing left-leaning media . . .”

And now for whiplash:

A “moderate” Muslim is also known as an apostate, for he is NOT following the commands of Mohammed, the pedophile inventor of this phony “religion.”

I wonder how and when Imam Rauf came to own property at ground zero. Seems a lot about his motives might be reveled from this part of the story. Perhaps it is out there and I have missed it amongst all the hand waving in the media about freedom of religion.

“Moderate” Muslims are not coming to the rescue, they are irrelevant.
