The mosque developers are tax deadbeats.

Sharif El-Gamal, the leading organizer behind the mosque and community center near Ground Zero, owes $224,270.77 in back property tax on the site, city records show. El-Gamal's company, 45 Park Place Partners, failed to pay its half-yearly bills in January and July, according to the city Finance Department.

The delinquency is a possible violation of El-Gamal's lease with Con Edison, which owns half of the proposed building site on Park Place. El-Gamal owns the other half but must pay taxes on the entire parcel.

No problem, my apologies. I had that marked and didn’t see my note on it. I see now that that particular USA Today story was one Vernon Jordan’s law firm had apparently forced USA Today to retract, too.

I wonder how many of these newspapers who are suing FR for copyright infringement have those Facebook share buttons?

Vernon Jordan's problems, concerns or issues with USA Today is irrelevant to the lawsuit risk you have created here on Free Republic by ignoring Free Republic's copyright rules.

We are removing your posts where you have copied and pasted articles without including working links to the site of original publication.

Repeating:

1. Do not post any articles or excerpts from blocked sites.

2. Consult the list of blocked and excerpt only sites prior to posting any published material, each time you post any published material.

3. After you have consulted the list of blocked and excerpt only sites, and after you have properly excerpted a published article, then you must include a working link to the site of original publication for each and every time you copy and paste any published material.

4. Do not bypass any of Free Republic's copyright rules.

Thanks.

If that has any bearing on someone bypassing Free Republic's long established copyright rules, it is not apparent.

In other words, this ain't news, folks.
