Exclusive: Meghan McCain Writes that Palin Brought 'Drama, Stress... Panic' to Campaign
Sen. John McCain's Daughter: Sarah Palin's Rise Was 'Too Fast,' 'Too Easy'
Aug. 31, 2010
For the first time since the end of her father's 2008 presidential bid, Sen. John McCain's daughter Meghan McCain spoke out about Sarah Palin, writing in a new book that Palin brought "drama, stress, complications, panic and loads of uncertainty" to the losing campaign.
Though she writes that during the campaign she wondered if the loss "was Sarah Palin's fault," McCain told "Good Morning America" today in an exclusive interview that Palin was not the reason the campaign failed.
"I do clearly state at the end that we did not lose because of her and I'm speaking out now because I do have conflicting feelings about her," McCain told "GMA's" George Stephanopoulos. "She brought so much momentum and enthusiasm to the campaign."

Before Palin came on board, McCain said she knew drama was brewing.
"I had learned a few things on the campaign already, and knew that change always brought complications and chaos and sometimes a little entertainment. Drama was inevitable on a campaign and created almost out of thin air. Tempers were always flying, and feelings were always being hurt. There was no question that a running mate would add to the confusion and upset. There would be less time for fun," she writes. "But I couldn't have predicted just how serious it was going to get."
McCain admitted that during the campaign she stumbled when asked whether she had doubts about Palin's presence on the ticket and in the book said that Joe Lieberman was her favorite pick.

Shut up and go away Meghan, no one care what you think.
Enough with these phony republicans.
seems to me her blog from during the campaign said otherwise...
Oh Meghan, grow up!
I suspect I am not alone.
And Meghan brings her teen-mentality piercing insights and her nice breasts. I wish she would leave her insights at home.
What a complete twit.
Talk about complete projection! Palin actually EARNED her rise by doing things. Meghan had her's handed to her because of who daddy is.
Why does this elitist twit think anyone cares what she thinks?
You’re not alone.
What does Meagan McCain know about being too easy?
This gal is obviously clueless.
Palin brought stress, drama, panic — and voters — to the McCain campaign.
Gee, thanks for campaigning for my Dad, Sarah. Now, turn around, I need someplace to stick this knife.
Have a nice day!
Same here. Since then, I've decided that for me, it's error to vote based on the #2 slot on the ticket.
McCain losing bad... but he pick Palin, draws even....
TARP vote, McCain makes his move...goes to Washington to stop this monstrosity....
oh but wait he votes for it... defends it in the first debate with Obama.... loses by 6 points
Didn’t The Who have an album named after Megan?
This is nothing more than a blatant attempt to get the McCains and the Palins to hate each other, distrust each other and make enemies on both sides.
McCain and Palin should not fall for this crap.
She is a priceless PR gift for the Progressive Fascist media machine and too stupid to realize it. She is a fat kid nerd who actually thinks “the in crowd finally like me, they really like me”
Poor deluded fool has no clue all they are doing is using her. If her dad had lost in the primary, or does lose in the election, it will be “”Meghan who” to these Leftist propagandists.
Personally, I still wear my McCain/Palin 2012 t-shirt, with a big X marked through McCain’s name.
So, you're one of those guys who takes his ball and goes home if he doesn't get what he wants and the hell with everyone else....real classy.
She is a bimbo and just wants attention. If it hadn’t been for Sarah, McCain’s loss would have been even bigger.
I imagine she did bring panic and stress to the McCain “campaign”. There was a time there when it started to look like McCain/Palin had a chance to win. That must have scared the hell out of McCain and his band of RINO boys who were only running for president because it was their turn.
2012 = 2008
You are one of my favorite freepers. [/s]
Excerpt from article:
One area where McCain does not stumble in the book is her take on Sarah Palin’s “disastrous” interview with CBS News’ Katie Couric ahead of the vice presidential debate when she couldn’t even state what newspapers she reads.
“Katie Couric’s interview with her before the vice presidential debate had been disasterous. Unhappy with her performance, Palin seemed to blame the interview on the campaign. And she continued to blame other poor interviews and snafus on the campaign too,” McCain writes. “Sarah Palin. She was turning out to be somebody who leaves a wake of confusion and chaos to the point of dizziness wherever she went.”
At first, the chaos was overwhelming, McCain said.
“She was not just an overnight success or even a political Cinderella story. She was a sudden, freakishly huge, full-fledged phenomenon. It seemed too much. And it seemed too easy,” McCain writes.
Now, McCain said she respects Palin as “a Republican feminist,” she stopped short of saying she would vote for Palin should the former Alaska governor end up on the 2012 presidential ticket.
“I really don’t like these hypothetical questions... It depends on the situation,” McCain said. “Anything can happen in the primaries... It’s going to be a very interesting election no matter what happens.”
“It’s no secret that I’m so unlike her,” she told “Good Morning America.”
(Name of Megan’s new book: “Dirty, Sexy Politics” puhleeeeze)
You are not alone..I did the same thing I was not going to vote until Sarah come into the picture..
This chubby RINO needs to shut up and go away..
Classless bitch. No Freepers buy this book, okay?
She looks just like her Dad only fatter, IMO.
“I do clearly state at the end that we did not lose because of her”
My guess is that after some reflection, Meghan figured out that it might be more plausible to think people voted against McCain because they concluded someone with such a dimwit daughter might not be competent to serve as POTUS, than because he put Palin on the ticket.
Well dang. All this time I figured if anyone had their finger on the pulse of the mccain political campaign, it had to be that strategist extraordinaire meghan mccain.
Speaking of drama, the way her daddy declared that both parties should suspend their campaigns until they could come up with some sort of solution to address the economic meltdown was fricking brilliant.
Miss PIGGY defines “drama” again? (So like her Father.)
Megan prefers to spend most of her time in the water. It helps to support her immense weight.
Any drama that happened, happened because the McCain campaign lent no support to Palin to assist in defending against unfounded attacks.
It's almost as if Palin was used as a lightning rod to prevent your daddy from being struck.
Another backstabber from the Romney-McCain-Cornyn
liberal shapeshifting wing of the GOP.
I'm another one of those guys.
Damn shame. I was hoping we could be new best friends.
“Meghan McCain Writes that Palin Brought ‘Drama, Stress... Panic’ to Campaign”
Palin brought ‘Sexy, Leg Tingleness....Smokin’ Hotness’ to the Campaign.
LOL Todd is a lucky man!
Okay sorry someone had to say it
And McCain is to blame for this. She is spouting off this way because he hasn’t told her to put a sock in it. This is actually John McCain, stabbing a partner in the back.
Go away John. Please, Just go away and take yous single brain cell dauthter with you.
Now that her father won the GOP nomination... here it comes.
These people are so predictable.
give us a kiss...
