Cops are questioning the mother and grandmother of the severely malnourished little girl, Marchella Pierce, at the 81st Precinct station house in Bedford-Stuyvesant, law enforcement sources said.
Sources also said that Child Development Support Corporation, which was brought in to work with the family, visited far less than the required 2-3 times per week.

Just what you would expect only alittle more out of control visually.
Another reminder why the death penalty is needed
She couldn’t make a living as a whore - she looks that bad.
evil...and sad

You have no idea how bad some of them look.
Crack hos’ only requirement is moist vacuum - male or female.
$5 for the dregs. This figure is not rhetorical, but from incident reports.
Why wasn’t the child removed from the ‘home’?
Less than 2-3 times per week???? All you'd need to do would be to go there ONCE and you could figure out there was something wrong there! What the H*ll good does it do to have Social Services if they can't do something about a little 4 year old who weighed only 15 lbs.!
How did this happen???? At least this innocent child is now thankfully in the hands of God!!
Eye for an Eye; feed the mother just the same amount as she fed her child.
This is a case I have no problem with the death penalty...and for others who abuse their children as so. If they knew they’d die for doing so they might care to at least be humane to their children.
“Far less” might mean twice a year.
Those social workers are so vastly overstretched.
A lesbo in Corpus Christi was just convicted for starving her son nearly to death. Her “partner” is about to lose parental rights to her kids. Truly evil people. But we’ve been told that gays are morally superior!
A normal 4 y.o. weighs about 35-40 lb. But this little girl was only 1 lb 6 at birth and breathed through a tracheal tube, so probably fed through a g-tube - some significant medical issues there. She may not have been quite as starved as it seems.
Very significant medical issues. In hospital for her first three years.

I don't know ... over worked and don't really care?
wonder why the hospital released her? Perhaps with good care they thought she'd thrive? With this “mom” that would to be feasible.
And people need to be fired from Childrens Protection Dept.
Neither will happen.
The excuse will be 'she fell through the cracks'
