"Iraq Veteran Stripped of Right To Bear Arms," 5 News Ft Smith-Fayetteville tells us.
Why?
"A year ago the Irelan's began receiving a small stipend from Veterans Affairs because Lana had to take over the family's finances...The V.A. declared Wayne Irelan incompetent and now his right to own a gun is gone."
Why would they do that, and what are the repercussions?
"Irelan has post traumatic stress disorder from the Iraq war, but his wife says he has never been violent...The couple didn't know Wayne's gun rights had been terminated until they went to get a gun out of pawn. Days later Wayne got a letter from the Arkansas State Police saying his concealed carry permit had been revoked. The ATF has told the Irelans that they could go to jail if a firearm is found in their home."
How did such a state of affairs come to be?
Why don't we ask that "gun lobby" we're told never compromises?

Once they could justify taking God Given Rights away from one group (felons) they can justify it for anyone.
Now it's Misdemeanors, two DUI’s, domestic violence, restraining orders, mental disorders determined by doctors without due process, and now our own returning Veterans.
I think that is what's known as the slippery slope.

Actions have consequences. He wants to collect a lifetime disability, he’s got to pay the cost.

This is critical.
The Canteen (and other serviceman dailies) should be making note of this for awhile, so those overseas know just what is going on.

You are absolutely correct; I have been telling everyone this for years. What they can do to one they can do to all, depending on what they want to do at any given moment, using some excuse or justification.
Just like the Fort Hood murderer Maj. Nidal M. Hasan who was made golden while fulfilling the artful values of Islam; he can have his constitutional rights because he had the approved government beliefs and practices.

They can just believe and they will be healed.
Expect me not to send you twenty dollars to pray for anyones healing in the forseeable future.

Now it's Misdemeanors, two DUIs, domestic violence, restraining orders, mental disorders determined by doctors without due process, and now our own returning Veterans. NOW folks are beginning to see the light but alas, too late but we still must fight this growing scourge. Like ntmxx, we've been following this trend for some time and could easily see the agenda behind it.

BS, yes ... but it's also the way it is.
incrementalism, compromise, political correctness ... you name it and it has chipped away at America for many years.
The power now is emboldened by enablement.
Black Panthers are let off the hook, for example.
If it was me and I had such a maniacle mind ... I'd already have two, maybe three actions planned.
That's me just commenting on an article ... what do you suppose the real people emboldened are doing?

BTW the
"No Compromise Gun Lobby" is the GOA and you shouldn't sully their moniker by attaching it to other gun rights groups that do... just sayin. ;-)

Also in that article:
I do find it interesting that ATF essentially advised that one prohibited person is all it takes to disarm everyone under the same roof. Yeah, so because she is married to someone who has supposedly lost his rights, she has no rights?
