Yup. I agree. I'll just add that it's even stupider for generals and politicians to call attention to it. IMHO, Patreaus, Bamabi and everyone else should have just ignored it, or minimized it.
Gainesville, FL isn't a tiny, rural town. But we have a podunk Koran-burning pastor there, too.
Pastors aren't above wanting their 15 minutes of international fame.

Burn the Koran, melt Mecca down with nuke? I am trying to see the difference. Which one would make the Mooslims more angry? To them it is all the same..

Critically thinking is needed in these discussions, rather than wild rhetoric. We aren’t at risk of going into another medieval period because of them. The outrage over the mosque and the burning of the Koran prove that.
I don’t acquiese to them. But I chose the best tactic to fight a battle.
Why yes I do sit down to pee. Does it make you more of a man than the next that you stand? I know combat vets that sit to do their business. So what?
