BERLIN - The most talked about man in Germany is a 65-year-old economist whose hot new book and sudden groundswell of popular support have the media dubbing him a folk hero. But that is not the only thing they are calling Thilo Sarrazin these days.
Some are also calling him dangerous. Sarrazin, a board member of the German Central Bank, has divided the nation by postulating the theory that Germany is being "dumbed down" by Muslim immigrants and their children. Wielding statistics and scientific arguments both in his book and in public comments, he delves into territory largely taboo here since the Holocaust, suggesting that "hereditary factors" are at least partly to blame. Turks and Kurdish immigrants, he asserts, are genetically predisposed to lower intelligence than Germans and other ethnic groups, including Jews.
His statements have shocked many in Germany not only because of a national sensitivity to anything remotely smacking of genetic superiority claims in the post-World War II era. What has also shocked many is that so many Germans have rallied to his side as the central bank and his political party have sought to oust him for his pronouncements.
Though most of his backers are publicly distancing themselves from his genetic arguments, they are lauding him as a straight-talker willing to address the problem of Muslim immigrants, who often eschew German language and culture. By throwing political correctness to the wind, they say, he has dared to speak the truth about higher immigrant unemployment, birthrates and welfare rates.
Among Germany's population of 82 million, about 5 percent are Muslims, most of Turkish descent. A poll published in the national magazine Focus this week showed 31 percent of respondents agreeing that Germany is "becoming dumber" because of immigrants, with 62 percent calling Sarrazin's comments "justified" and 52...

The Germans were dead wrong about the Jews in the 1930’ & 40s. Since the end of WW2 I don’t ever recall hearing about a Jew blowing themselves up in a German resteraunt. There isn’t any mistaking Islam and it’s intentions. Muslims make it more than plain about how they feel about everything(always ‘’offended’’) They make threats where ever they go, they kill people, a lot, they do that an awful lot, the killing I mean. And they say that someday soon we’re all going to be living under Sharia law and if we don’t like that, in fact if we don’t like anything Islam does and we say so, we’re all a bunch of hateful bigots. I wouldn’t want to see a “Final Soultion2’’ but if Germany or any other Western nation wants to take a hard line to Islam, so be it. If the Saracens can dish it out then they can take it too.

Same thing is happening here.. I would not call it “genetic” but there are some groups of people that for various reasons, do not do well in school ... that pulls down the upward mobility and achievement rates of the entire nation..

Genetics has nothing to do with it. Islam since the 12th century, when Al Gazhali’s ideas triumphed over the rationalism of Averroes and Avicenna, has held occasionalism as its epistemology, with the result that it is incompatible with science, encourages fatalism, and with it sloth in learning and commerce.
Any socialist government likes to dumb down its people — so much easier to control and manipulate them. It’s called: “Leave no child behind i.e. support the lowest common denominator.”
