Anybody got more info on this? I'm suspicious of all stories like this, but hadn't heard anything about this particular one.

It was reported in the Army times...not sure when. Looks legit...hope they fry ‘em if it’s true. Like we don’t have enough to work through....idiots.

I can’t get the link to work. I see the Daily Mail logo, but there’s no article.

I’m dubious. It sounds more to me like one of the soldiers in the unit wants to paint himself as a hero for reporting atrocities.

Could be true though. If so, those men should be punished with all due severity.

Allied forces bombed over 1,500 French towns in WWII, killing over 67,000 French civilians between Jan 1940 and May 1945. Not one U.S. airman faced charges in those deaths.

So boo freakin' hoo to the handful of Afghan savages we killed. Who gives a crap. (At least with France we were saving one of the world's great culture. WTF are we saving in Afghanistan?)

Once something like this hits the muzzie world, it takes on a life of it's own, regardless of it's veracity. See, they want to believe it's true, they want to think the worst of us as it gives them (in their tiny, hate filled minds) more justification to commit acts of terror. Remember the rumors coming from Abu Graib (sp?) about guards flushing the Qu'ran down the toilet? It wasn't true, but it sparked rage and violence all over the middle east.

Yeah, well I’ll take this with a grain of salt and five years to sort it all out with.

These reports are generally worth about as much used toilet paper, and are about one thousand to one as likely to contain pretty much the same thing.

Apples, meet oranges. We aren't talking about collateral damage casualties. We're talking about the intentional targeting and murdering of individual civilians.

During WWII, over 130 US service members were tried, convicted and HANGED UNTIL DEATH for capital crimes against civilians, including rape and MURDER. It happened.

One other thing: if this story had validity, you'd think it would be splashed all over the NYT, CNN, WaPo, Huffpo and the rest of the liberal media, just like Abu Gharib and the Koran in the Guantanomo toilet.

The fact that it isn't makes me think that the sources stink, and they don't want to get burned playing up massacres that didn't happen.

We’ve seen journalists who are willing to provoke a riot (throwing rocks at cops from within a crowd) to “report” on the angry mob.

We’ve seen members of the US military who are willing to steal tens of thousands of classified government documents and publish them in full view of the enemy.

We’ve seen members of the US military who are willing to throw grenades at their officers and gun down soldiers and their wives on base in the name of Islam.

We’ve seen members of the “insurgency” dress up as members of the US military to gun down members of the military and civilians.

When there are reports of “US soldiers” attacking civilians, I am left to wonder, were they really members of the US military and if they were, could they have been turncoats who act out to tank the military mission (not just a “soldier gone wild” but a genuine fifth columnist hellbent on taking the troops down from within).

Recall that the Abu Ghraib photos were leaked to the press by one of the men who was being prosecuted. He wanted a “plea bargain” and endangered our troops when he didn’t get his way. Could troops have been led to commit those attrocities by one who was not fully alligned to the US cause?

Here are some of the charge sheets. It doesn’t look good. Plus, I read another story (I’ll look for it) that claims one of the soldiers that was charged told his father about the problems several months earlier, and his father made contact with the Army stateside but didn’t get anywhere.

There was some leftwing radical who wrote that Americans were "raping" these nations (in a metaphorical sense) but the translation they read (and repeated) were "actual" rapes. The writer (I think a female college professor if I recall properly) did not feel any guilt over her actions.

In September,2001, we should have leveled something in the Middle East. At this point, I say pull out of Afghanistan and Iraq. We should say, “we have tried to help 2 of your countries build Democracies. We spent OUR BLOOD to do this,
we are leaving now, if you want to kill each other, be out guest. IF YOU ATTACK US AGAIN, YOUR SOMETHING IN YOUR AREA IS GOWING TO GLOW! We have played at war in a Leftist way for 9 years! Time to Cowboy up!

"You have to kill people and destroy their stuff or just get the hell OUT!!"

You must have missed that part where I described the 130+ US service members who were hanged until death for capital crimes against civilians, huh?

America expects it's armed forces to behave in a professional manner and in keeping with the western rules of war to include the UCMJ. It's not complicated.
