I like Krauthammer, and he is far more often right, but he has never been a Palin fan so what do you expect. He definitely can be wrong on topics.

Dr K is wrong here, dead wrong. I’d rather have one more senator like Jim Demint, than 10 more RINOs like Lindsey Graham. As for Castle, forty-four years in Congress is enough. He can get a place in Rehoboth and take it easy on the pension we’re providing.

“Electable” is one word I have really come to despise. First, nobody can truly say who is “electable” until the election. Otherwise, it’s just a guessing game. But more and more, “electable” has come to mean “liberal” and “unprincipled” and is most often used by people who are willing to chuck out all of their principles just so they can say their guy won. Meanwhile, their guy violates every principle these people used to have. Bah. Krauthammer should quit whining.

Krauthammer has this point...Castle is a virtual win. O’Donnell still today...with most folks in Delaware...is a question mark.

Let’s also be honest here. If you picked out the typical average Republican in Texas...and looked for the same charismatics with a Delaware Republican...you’d only find 10,000 of them in the whole state of Delaware. The vast number of conservatives in the state are RINO-types.

The amusing thing to this whole story is that Joe Biden’s son was the end-all expected winner of this race until he dropped out. I suspect anyone with name value...even Lady Gaga...could win the state election in November.

Krauthammer is also an avid gun control advocate, so I’ve never considered him much of a conservative, or any kind of voice for the typical Republican...

Siding with the RINOs, are you Dr. K? We tea partiers aren’t in the mood for that. Get used to it.

I like CK as well. I don’t agree with him on everything but that doesn’t make me think he’s a “stealth liberal.”

Whatever happens, it can be laid directly at the feet of the GOP’s RINO contingent with their “gangsters” and compromisers who helped usher in this band of freedom-thieving thugs.

It’s a bad idea to anger your base and keep poking it in the eye. Bad form to lecture and whine about it when the base starts poking back, too.

RINO-stomp mode. I love that. Screw ‘em and let the stomping resume. I hope the whole lot of them are starting to sweat.

Like the man said, better 30 Marco Rubios than 60 Arlen Specters.

When you put it that way, I'd rather have 30 Marco Rubios *because* Arlen Specters turn into, well, Arlen Specter. What good is a majority of Arlen Specters to anybody??

And Mike Castle *is* left of Arlen Specter. His voting record already proves this. Some people, like Bennett and Murkowski, I could have lived with but not Castle and not McCain. I think the Inside-the-Beltway crowd is mad that the Tea Party pissed in their cheerios too, not just the Democrats. But they really shouldn't be surprised. The whole point of the Tea Party was to say both parties sucked and we could do better. I'm proud of what the Tea Party is doing, even though revolutions can be messy and you don't always get what you want.

Not of a fan of this guy.

Top 6 Reasons why CHRISTINE IS MORE ELECTABLE
1) moderates who want to stop Democrats will vote R.
2) conservatives won’t show up big for Castle
3) Liberals don’t like Christine, but like Castle. That’s why the polls are screwy.
Liberals will vote for Coons.
4) Christine can get #s from young, female, Catholic better than Castle
5) Pretty is better than ugly
6) Tea Party won’t support Castle. Remember, the Delaware GOP sued Tea Party Express.

The creaking of the old guard is growing louder. There’s actually a very peaceful revolution going on and some like DeMint and Palin are on the right side of history. Can’t stop it now! Finally the people are saying “enough”.

What came first, the Chicken or the Egg?

Deleware politics has been defined by two incumbents, Biden and Castle, since time immemorial. I would submit that these two squishy liberals have won based on their personal appeal and the immense power of incumbency, rather than the appeal of their political philosophy. They have made careers out of being moderate and inoffensive. Certainly, in the case of Biden, it had nothing to do with intelligence or ability.

This does not mean that the electorate of Delaware is squishy and moderate. It just means they have not been sufficiently annoyed with either of these guys to pitch one of them out, until today. Now they will have a real choice.

Frankly, were in Dark Territory here. Nobody knows how Delaware is going to react to a real choice. IMHO, this is the year to find out.

Another point... Given the apparent Delaware pattern of re-electing incumbents, the age of the nominee becomes important. If Castle wins the job, you will have a useless, squishy RINO for six, maybe twelve, years, and Castle will retire with a bigger pension. If O’Donnell wins, we get a solid, reliable Conservative for a generation or more. This is worth taking the risk.

It is bigger than that RM....

Glenn Beck told us to find our voice, obviously we did and they can't stand it

The Beltway-Establishment-Blue Blood-RulingClass-Parlimentarians can't handle the concept that we have a voice, and are willing to change the direction of the country without their guidance. The hubris of them to think they are the pass thru, ditto that the RNC.

Look at them all caterwauling its being against the Tea Parties all the way to now trying to sway the outcome to stay with the us vs. them RINOs...

In fact it didn't start with the Tea Parties, it started with Joe the Plumber. An average working guy that got these people and could talk in simple terms, He didn't need a PHD to see through Obama's Marxism and with more degrees than a thermometer, half these pogues didn't see it or voted for him! ( paging Peggy what's her face...)

I got to tell you I am sick of them all and a big pile of the talk show host as well.

The problem is we have to work our butts off to keep what we have and roll back what has been done in the last 20 months and unfortunately, we still have Obama and a bunch of RINO's to deal with. This will take years.

If we didn't have responsibilities, Going Galt in Alaska off the Grid would be the alternative. Maybe the responsibilities will get many off their duff to do the hard work of trying to implement change back to a Constitutionally Limited Republic.

Geez, AP can be a snarky douche (a bit like a liberal). As for Krauthammer, this is no surprise. He may be “smart”, but he’s firmly entrenched in the Beltway Ruling Class establishment.

He definitely can be wrong on topics.

Krauthammer, at the end of the day, is pure Beltway. So he often comes out on the wrong end of topics such as amnesty and upstart candidates.

The problem with the polling showing Castle in the lead in a hypothetical November matchup is that he has not been attacked by the Dem yet as an out-of-touch DC insider - which will significantly shave his lead. Realize that incumbency - and especially incumbency voting for the job-killing Obama agenda - is a potential liability this year, unless you are from a safe congressional district. When Russ Feingold is at risk, you know a sea change is happening. But those inside the Beltway either refuse to or don't want to see that.
