O'Donnell's only chance to win is via zeitgeist and mojo. The NRSC can provide neither.

Maybe Mike Myers can help?

“When the McCains and Murkowskis and Roves of the world point out that the the Tea Party and Freepers of the world are very far to their right, they get scorn and ridicule.

I truly don’t understand the difference.”
++++++++++++++++++++++

I think what you’re seeing is the battle for the soul of the GOP. This is a predecessor for the battle of the soul of the nation, which will happen in 47 days and in 2012. Those of us to the right of the “McCains and Murkowskis and Roves” happen to know from experience what happens when you compromise principles, like those people often do.

That is why we’re passionate about opposing their compromise. They can certainly point out that we’re to their right, or even far to their right, but that they say from their location squarely in the midst of squishy compromise.

See the difference? :)

A few million $$s will help. You don’t think so?

If the NRSC did the right thing, it would also help unite the party, and recognize the majority Conservative base. We’ll see if they see any value in that - or think they should just spit in our eyes.

Nope. Not on advertising at least. And not nearly as much as it would help John Raese, Dino Rossi, et al.

By default that means they are supporting the Democratic candidate.

I remember watching McCain and thinking “is he THROWING this election??” because of the utterly stupid things he did. I think he actually made a awesome “mistake” with choosing Sarah Palin. I think that's why they turned on her within his ranks. They thought they had a controllable party mannequin - and thank God they found out different.

1) I think there's no doubt that McCain threw the election. He's one of Soros's boys too.

2) I think it's worse than you say regarding Palin. I don't think they thought she was a controllable party mannequin--she had worked too hard against the corrupt including IN the R party. I think they thought they had a SURE LOSER because she'd be so non-main stream and then they could blame McCain's scripted loss on her with him just making ONE mistake--taking on that WOMAN who pulled him down.

It just got way too hard to support that meme when she was pulling tens of thousands more to rallies than he was. They're still flogging the dead horse of her as the loser, but no sentient being is buying it.

McCain was forced to act the total fool on the "sudden" and convenient run on banks, proclaim Obama to be a fine family man that no one needed to be afraid of and who would make a fine president, and then somehow fail to use the tens of millions he had in donations against Obama. The scumbag used those millions against a genuine conservative--JD Hayworth.

The vampire has indeed been exposed!

“Don’t donate to the party - donate directly to the candidate.”

It's the only solution.

We cannot and must not think about a 3rd party - we must think about taking OVER the 2nd party slot - whatever that entails. That’s because history, Constitutional and election law relegate against 3rd parties

This is what the liberals have been doing for 30 years. Co-opting the 2nd party, via RINO's.

Meg Whitman is a democrat. Scharzennegger is a democrat. Castle is a Democrat. Poizner is a democrat. Snowe, Collins, on and on. The GOP party bosses support Fiorina, another ruling class elite wannabe, but reject out of hand O'Donnell. Spend a million on leftist democrat Dede Scozzafava against conservative Hoffman. And then there is Michael Steele.

RNC, NRSC infested with ruling class elites.

How can the liberals not win when they control both parties?

Well then they need to do it to support the majority Conservative base and unite the party, if not for more practical reasons. I’m not convinced that $3M can’t help, btw.

Let's be realistic.

The NRSC will play where they want to, and probably do some good in those races; they'll get what's coming after the election.

The NRSC won’t get a damn dime from me. I donated $50 directly to O’Donnell.

Me too, except I think I will just send a coupon for tea instead. Actual tea bags might be perceived as some kind of “uspicious substance,” especially if people want to paint grass-roots conservatives as potential terrorists.

On the topic of whether O’Donnell can win in November:
Let’s say 40% of Ds vote and that goes 90% for Coons and 60% of Rs and Is vote - and she gets 60% of those votes - she can win.

Grass-roots conservatives will always be painted as potential "terrorists" by the MSM and the faux conservatives and leftists in the political class, so what's to lose? I'd rather send a strong message, especially when our imput is solicited.

I guess if there is any blow-back, you could just convert to Islam - and then no federal authorities would ever dare question your motives.

We can all plainly see what’s happened to this country when liberals win.

WE’VE STORMED THE GOP GATES. NOW WE STORM DC.
