Gee, Powell, you couldn’t find any Americans or Legal residents to do the work? More likely you didn’t want to pay an American or legal resident...

So Powell confesses to being a criminal...if there were justice in this nation he'd be charged...Obama’s injustice department will probably give him some sort of citizenship award.

Colin, you should go straight to jail for aiding and abetting illegal activities!

Mr Powell, if those illegals weren't here the wages for those same repairs would be higher and would provide good jobs to legal American citizens. As it is, they work for peanuts because they are ILLEGAL, thus driving down wages for American citizens to even attempt to make a living in such jobs. So basically Mr Powell you are SCREWING your fellow Americans with wage suppression!

Aiding and abetting in our liberal society is out of the question any more I suppose.

Gad is this man a idiot. A walking cliche.
I don't care what he did forty years ago - how did he advance so far in the military?

Colin, I’m all for immigrant labor.
But they should be legal. You are encouraging criminal behavior by hiring illegals.

How does whether Republicans support or oppose immigration affect the fact that Powell has knowingly hired illegals to work on his house?

The people to notify about this are the IRS. Those illegal workers did not submit W-2 forms, which is a pretty substantial criminal count.

Stunningly stupid confession. He does not understand the first thing about what is afoot in this nation politically.

Powell, a moderate Republican, urged his party Sunday to support immigration generally because it is "what's keeping this country's lifeblood moving forward."
Support LEGAL immigration. This country's lifeblood isn't kept flowing by lawlessness and complete disregard for our national borders.

I hope talk radio jumps all over this. What a hypocrite.
Hire the unemployed brothers, Powell. You have means thru your lifelong token appointments, so “share the wealth” with the umemployeds who actually want to work for a living.
And remember, your boy told Joe The Plumber that “redistribution of wealth was a good thing”

Back in the late ‘90s, many people in both parties thought this jerk should be president, without the benefit of having heard him speak on most of the major issues. Now we’ve gotten to know him much better in recent years.
Americans need to get over the white guilt and stop giving endless benefit of the doubt to every AA who becomes prominent in government.
