Mr. Powell, years ago when I was told by first hand witnesses that you did not salute MOH recipients that were a ‘lower’ rank then you were, even though it is customary to do so, and you being a military man know it’s customary. I considered you to be a classless dick.
During the lead up to the 2008 presidential election you endorsed the Democrat candidate, solely based on his race, I then, as I do now consider you a racist dick.

Has a federal public servant in our history ever been as stupid as this man? He is an admitted racist, botched a war as JCS chairman, and apparently unsure as to what constitutes a minority of anything.
Just another do-gooder example of where affirmative action takes this nation—down a long road of failure and malfeasance. I guess he looked good in a uniform and blended in at White House state dinners.

I don’t know why powell bothers. Perhaps his too is a narcissist like his beloved 0bama and he thinks that moderate Republicans will still listen to him. He has no credibility with grass roots conservatives, the only energetic force in politics today.
We really should not fear or pay attention to these moderate and liberal Republicans. They do not have a constituency based on ideology. Being a moderate or liberal Republican does not mean that your constituents are independent or even moderate. Most of the “mushy” middle is comprised of people that watch American Idol and ESPN; politics is a mere afterthought.
These “moderates” are lukewarm and the conservative movement is in the process of spitting them out.
BTW, I think that Hannity should not let Rove go on his programs anymore unless Rove does penance and an act of contrition.

What does he care? Powell has various pensions coming in. Gets paid speaking engagements and other work. He is worth millions from writing books that undoubtedly were ghost written. He’s all set. He can afford to be a magnanimous “citizen of the world” and play the moral superiority card. I cannot afford this nonsense. I can only afford to be a tenacious citizen of the US
Doesn’t surprise me. Powell once referred to illegal aliens as “these precious people.” I don’t know what’s so “precious” about them compared to citizens or legal immigrants. But they certainly are treated that way.
