Colin Powell is holding off on endorsing President Obama in the 2012 election, but said that he still views the president as a “transformational figure.”

Powell, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and secretary of State under the Bush administration, backed Obama for president in 2008. But on Sunday he said that he would wait closer to 2012 to make his endorsements.

"I will look at the needs of the country, the situation as I see it, and I will evaluate both candidates and see which one I think is best able to lead the country," Powell said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

More pronouncements from another RINO. Who cares? He’s probably supporting Crist and Murkowski in their races...

When does Colon endorse Coons? From Twitter: @ChristineOD: I did comment that if I were a witch, Rove would be a supporter. I would have turned him into a ‘Newt’, because Gingrich says we win.#DESEN

Since he rolled over and endorsed Obama in the last election I will bet that he will do the same in the next one.

To some skin color trumps all else.

"I will look at the needs of the country, the situation as I see it, and I will evaluate both candidates and see which one I think is best able to lead the country," Powell said.

"But I'll endorse Obama, anyway," he continued.

Not really.....but it's the most likely outcome.

He should have been kicked out of the Army for his role in the My Lai massacre. We would have been spared from his nonsense.

Powell is a racist, pure and simple.

Powell identified himself as a Republican. A man Powell had a good relationship with, was running as the GOP candidate. Many if not most of BHO’s political positions did not agree with Powell’s supposed ideology.

Suddenly, *poof*, Powell supports BHO. Could it be for any other reason than skin color?

That is the textbook definition of racist.

The ever political Powell. The man that did a mea culpa to the WAPO a week before Desert Storm kicked off. “It wasn’t my idea”!!! What a total clymer. Also, no one seems to remember that he was the first investigating officer at My Lai and didn’t include the part of the Assistant Division Commander in a helicopter directing actions on the ground. Can you say, “I do what my betters want of me”? A total political animal. I still don’t understand what Reagan saw in him.

Powell is a racist. He supported Maobama only because of his skin color.

Let’s see: Powell’s first endorsement of a Democrat was Gov. Wilder and his second Pres. Obama. By “transformation,” I guess he refers to the color of a person’s skin. As things turned out, Gov. Wilder did a fine job, and Pres. Obama, thusfar, has been terrible. Looks like skin color isn’t a good predictor of performance. Maybe we should look at other factors, such as commitment to the Constitution, experience and personal integrity. Just supposin’.

Colin STFU and go away. Nobody cares who you endorse. You have zero credibility with anybody. Thats what happens when you betray your party. You were a crappy Secretary of State thats why Dubya pushed you aside. Get over it and go play golf on your undeserved military pension.
