Two freshman at Edward Bok Technical High School in Philadelphia were hospitalized after a beating by 10 other boys, Friday. The victims were new 14 and 15 year immigrants from China.
Bok High School is 72 percent black and the perpetrators were black kids bringing to mind incidents that happened last December at South Philadelphia High School. One of the perps has been arrested and is facing assault charges.
Philadelphia School District officials described the incident as part of traditional freshman hazing and said racism was not involved.
The Asian community is skeptical.

So they’re saying every freshman is traditionally beaten to the point they require hospitalization?
Mainly since Asians don’t take pride in a criminal culture and having criminal connections. They take pride in being law abiding, but I am sure that if it continues some incensed parent will make contact with the triads and maybe it’ll end. Would be fascinating to see the crips/bloods and triads go after each other. Kind of like the Simpsons episode where the Mob and Yakuza fight each other at the Simpson’s house. The scene where a yakuza is thrown through the window and then gets up, bows, and then rejoins the fight still cracks me up.
But more seriously, it’s like blacks for some reason pick fights with other minorities, but then expect other minorities to join them in ‘getting whitey.’ Idiots. I wonder how long it’ll be until all minorities simply start attacking blacks. I simply DON’T understand the mentality that makes them do this and then think that this is justified.

Look at the majority of the students and then you’ll figure out that yes, it is.

The current meme is that this is EVERYONE’S problem, and we don’t want to CRIMINALIZE any student.

I got tossed in the shower. A few of the more intractable freshmen (read - ran their mouths at inopportune times) got a little worse. No beatings were inflicted, by anyone.

There are no sororities or fraternities in HIGH SCHOOL.
Or was it a GANG beating because they the Asians wouldn't join the gang?

-The only good thing here is that the injuries turned out to be minor. They were checked out in a hospital but released. It could have been a lot worse in that respect - remember the high school student in Chicago who died last year after being hit in the head with a board during a big scuffle?
-It looks like only one kid was arrested, though. I’ll bet you dollars to donuts the victims in this case will face harassment and threats when it comes to identifying any of the other little punks.

We all got pantsed, the loud mouths got it several times and their pants thown out on the football field for them to recover in full view of the whole school. No beatings occurred and no hospitalizations. We did have the usual one on one guy fights, but no 10 on 1 beatings. Hazing my a**.

For liberals, American Blacks seem to be the Ultimate Other. Being Black trumps being foreign-born, being from an alien culture, being Communist--maybe even being from another planet.
Meanwhile, conservatives (who are supposedly predisposed to defend what is familiar) would take the side of three headed arthropods from another dimension if they had friction with the Black community.
This whole situation is weird.
This incident is getting huge play in the Chinese and Chinese language press.
They see it as just a repeat of last year’s widespread beatings of Asian students at Samuel Fel High School.
The preception held by Asian students in Philadelphia schools is that since all the administrators and security personnel are black, they don’t care what happens to anyone not black.
Last year, Asian students wrote letters and petitions, staged demonstrations, and attended board meeting trying to get the school to at least acknowledge there was a problem and protect them. They were ignored.
What the English language news reports has failed to mention is that the 2nd student was beaten because he ran to the aid of the 1st student and that it wasn’t 10 students but more than 20, most joining in after the beatings began.
John Derbyshire has said for years America only has two real “races”: black and non-black.
He’s got a point.
BTW, hispanic on black violence, though generally ignored by the media, is growing.
