I’m kind of a jerk when I feel uninhibited.
I can’t give a speech to save my life. I always had friends in grade school, but was never in with the popular people. To this day, I think people would consider me a slightly odd. I can speak one on one okay, but not great, and have a real hard time making small talk at social gatherings. I think mine is genetics and environment. Probably got the shyness gene from my mom and growing up in a home with alcoholism really stunted my development. I write much better than I ever could talk. Anyway, I’ve always considered shyness to be a real disability for me. It’s prevented me for doing/enjoying a lot of things. Funny thing is, I have 3 non-shy kids that have forced me out of my shell to a great degree.

I wonder if this is why pre-marital sex has such a deleterious effect on women. They release oxytocin during sex and begin to trust.
This leads them to want to stay/nest with their sex partner and clouds their judgment.

After having consumed entirely too much of said anti-shyness elixir, I was “excused” from the facility after having climbed on top of the table and joined the band in a rousing rendition of “My Ding a Ling”. It was last-call anyways so I couldn’t have missed too much.
If you want some just ask for Madame Rue.
She has a brain injury. It’s not autism, but some aspects of brain injury are very similar to autism. The speech and language and social areas of her brain are the ones that aren’t working well.
It’s funny because people seem to be more familiar with the symptoms of autism.
The big difference is in the treatment.
