The FBI said it searched eight addresses in Minneapolis and Chicago as part of a terrorism investigation Friday. Warrants suggest agents were looking for connections between local anti-war activists and terrorist groups in Colombia and the Middle East.

FBI spokesman Steve Warfield told The Associated Press agents served six warrants in Minneapolis and two in Chicago.

"These were search warrants only," Warfield said. "We're not anticipating any arrests at this time. They're seeking evidence relating to activities concerning the material support of terrorism."

The homes of longtime Minneapolis anti-war activists Mick Kelly, Jess Sundin and Meredith Aby were among those searched, they said. All three were subpoenaed to appear before a federal grand jury in Chicago: Aby on Oct. 5, Sundin on Oct. 12 and Kelly on Oct. 19.

You mean those glowing, red pits with the blackness of Hell behind them? Those eyes? Yes.

Obama thinks that because the country rallied to President Bush following the 9/11 attack and the OBL video released shortly before the re-election, that he will benefit from the same scenario.

He could not be more wrong.

Won’t it be kinda hard to be “clandestine” with their picture plastered all over the internet?

I gave up on the FBI in 1992 (Ruby Ridge). I’m amazed they’re still working to prevent terrorism. (I guess it depends on the kind they want to “prevent”.)

The FBI said it searched eight addresses among the staff of the mayors in Minneapolis and Chicago as part of a terrorism investigation Friday.

This would make more sense and be more welcome with this verbiage.

Obama has thus far managed not to “blow up” in public. He is consumed with hatred for America.

We have 30,000 Saudi nationals here on student visas. 15 of 19 of the 09/11 terrorists were Saudi nationals here on student visas. We have no idea where these 30,000 people are or what they are really up to. So what does out illustrious FBI do? They focus on white anti-war protesters.

Perhaps there’s something to this. Perhaps not. I do find it interesting that they had so little evidence against these people that all they could do is raid eight locations fishing for some.

Folks, I may be proven to be wrong down the road, but it seems to me this is more evidence of the Obama administration trying to change the paradigm from Islamic threat to Whitey on a rope.

We are lead to believe this White guys are a real threat because of their associations. Of course Islamic adherents are not a threat, even though the message from the leaders are anti-Western and these groups keep pushing the limits as to what they can get away with.

How about serving some warrants on that network?

Our enemies watch what our politicians say. It is an invitation to disaster.
IIRC, Saddam Hussein "misinterpreted" something Bush the Elder said and thought the US had given tacit approval of his plan to invade Kuwait.

Just a warrant, no arrests, no need to worry, wink wink...

I wonder if they will mysteriously disappear now.

What idiots we have running the FBI. No surprise though.

I thought it was strange as well to have a raid and no arrests.

"Is it just me, or has there been an uptick in terror cell arrests? One of them is gonna get missed ..."

It's been on-going for decades and accelerated after 9/11. Recently, the Islamists have become even more de-centralized and every little sh**y jihad wannabe is looking at different ways to kill us on their own. That is the result of all our men and women taking the fight to them and keeping them too busy to re-organize.

I give major kudos to the FBI and other intel agencies of all truly concerned countries. Political heads notwithstanding, do you think the clandestine services personnel want to see their families and friends and "brothers-in-arms" blown up? Of course not.

Yes, takes our clandestine services to produce 100% at all times. The Islamofacists only need 1 time to succeed.

Again, I thank them and hope they continue their clandestine operations even without their superior's support, and do what it takes to keep Americans safe from the Cult of Mo. And yes, I'm okay with collateral damage. Better them than us. Think Dresden, Germany. Think Hiroshima. We all die. Better them quicker, than us.

"So what does out illustrious FBI do? They focus on white anti-war protesters."

Yes, they get over-zealous in their efforts. However, the reason we read almost every week that some jihad wannabe is busted is also due to the clandestine services.

I think they've learned their lesson with Ruby Ridge and Waco. Heads should have rolled over the above, but I thank them for infiltrating and busting all the jihadists.

If the clandestine services were not doing their job, there would have long ago been mass killings in malls, arenas, and other highly populated targets. I give credit when due. Take care ole activist.

He won’t absorb it once he’s out of the White House, and the Muzzies realize he’s STILL powerless. He’s kinda like silicone boobs...they look good on the surface, but if you take them out to play with them, they kinda fall apart in your hand.

(Do NOT ask me how I know this!)

Once his minions are gone (NOVEMBER: TAKE OUT THE TRASH MONTH!) his “power” will consist in opening a bottle of beer and celebrating the opening of a pack of cigarettes.

That’s probably a fair retort. I grew up with a tremendous amount of respect for the FBI. I’ll have to admit that respect being destroyed by the two incidents you mentioned.

What troubles me greatly, is that people ‘in the know’ or ‘who should have known’ participated first hand or by failing to take a stand in covering this up.

They are now disbursed throughout the agency. Wonderful!

There have been some successes. And perhaps this will be revealed to be another. We shall see.

Thanks for the comments.
