Some of Hollywoods most recognizable names are digging into their deep pockets to help Wisconsin Democrat Russ Feingold, one of the Senates most reliably liberal voices and a top Republican target this fall.
Among Feingold's contributors are filmmakers Steven Spielberg and Harvey Weinstein, actors Michael Douglas and Edie Falco, as well as NBCs Jeffrey Zucker, music executive David Geffen, and producer Jeffrey Katzenberg and his wife, Marilyn, according to CQMoneyLine.com.
Writer and producer Tom Fontana, creator of the television series Homicide: Life on the Street and Oz, also ponied up for Feingold, as did actress Kathryn Erbe, who has appeared in "Law and Order" and "Oz."
In fact, Weinstein, Douglas and Fontana all gave donations that were over the $5,000 legal limit per cycle and had to be reimbursed for the surplus.

Mr. man of the people, simple Russ himself...
The fact that Senator Feingold is even having a problem kinda tells you just how well things are going this year.
Days like this I’m glad I download.
McCarthy was right.
Feingold is going to lose, in spite of these donations from the out-of-touch Hollywood moonbats.
I thought taking money from others was corrupt (according to McCrap/Feingold....this guy can have a trillion dollars he’s still going to lose...People are tired of these commies
This is not going to win him votes. In fact, if I were Johnson, I’d use it as a campaign topic. Does Feingold represent Wisconsin, or Hollywood?
Another liberal Dem doing the bidding of the wealthy elite.
***Does Feingold represent Wisconsin, or Hollywood?***
They probably have him confused with Feinstein - Hollywoodites are too cheesy.
Amen brother!
Love my Lime.
Shucks! I was going to vote for Ron Johnson but now that the Hollywood people are behind Feingold I guess I’m going to have to vote for him. (/sarcasm)
Yes...he was.
No wonder I haven’t heard of half of these names. I said adios to Hollyweird/TV ages ago. They’re business people and behave like this? LOL . no wonder no one gives a rat’s behind now about shows or movies. Their product sucks and so do they.
I’m almost tempted to drive down to Madison to hear the caterwauling and sniveling.
I was at a parade today in LaCrosse WI for Oktoberfest - when the Dems came by - Feingold, Barret (running for gov), Kind (house incumbent) no one was cheering for them - not even clapping. I was with a group of people holding up Kapanke Hankies and all the dems trying to work the crowd looked at us like we were the most horrible people on earth. They really weren’t prepared for the lack of support and the animositey that people have for them.
My brother yelled out - “Hey Ron” to Ron Kind - Ron thought he had a friend - came over to shake his hand and my brother said quite loudly - “your in trouble this November Ron”. Ron looked pretty pissed and said “we’ll see won’t we buddy” and quickly walked off. It was pretty great as most of the crowd was chuckling.
We were able to talk with Ron Johnson as well(Feingold’s opponent) - he was interested in knowing the crowd reaction to the dems - smiled when we told him that the repubs were getting much more of a response than the Feingold did.
This is a lefty part of the state so watching all of this was pretty interesting.
I won’t miss their movies too much. I don’t now!
Get a clue!
