He dropped out of another race too maybe 2 years ago. I think?

Makes me wonder what he wants.

Time for Lisa, Charlie and Mike to follow his example.

I don’t care what he wants. He dropped out. That’s all that matters.

One can only hope the “straw boy” Tim Cahill will do the same in the MA governors race.

Particularly now that his campaign manager quit and the latest poll shows him losing more numbers while Baker is now in a statistical tie with Cadillac Deval.

A little late, but this could put the race even between Paladino and the Mafia don. Murkowski in Alaska and Crist in Florida might take a cue from this, although in the latter case I think Crist hurts the Dems more than the GOP.

He dropped out because he lost the primary. At least he has some class, unlike Murkowski and Castle.

The former Long Island congressman . . . made the announcement this afternoon, which coincides with the deadline for him to be nominated for a judgeship.

Key sentence. Somebody made an offer he couldn't refuse? Perhaps the Pubbies took a page from the Democratic playbook.

Time for Lisa, Charlie and Mike to follow his example.

Nope. Charlie's splitting the liberal/moderate vote in FL. Same with Lisa in AK.

If you're talking about Mike Castle, he hasn't decided on a write-in campaign...he would likely do the same.

He wants the republicans to win the governor’s office, and since he lost the republican primary, there was no point in him keeping the conservative line on the ticket — he would just take votes from the republican.

By dropping out, the conservatives can nominate Paladino to take his place. This is a good thing he is doing here.

It doesn’t say what kind of judgeship (state or federal) but would either Paterson or Obama nominate him ? A local judgeship on Long Island might make more sense since those counties usually are more Republican. Who’d be doing the nominating?

That notwithstanding, it was an overall good move, and shows he’s not petty and vindictive like Murkkowski and, possibly, Castle. Crist is another story altogether.

Please contact me if you’re interested in being added on or taken off the Carl Paladino for Governor ping list. This looks to be a fairly high volume ping list for a while, probably until the election.

I hear that Paladino and the Conservative Party had a falling out which is why they didn't endorse him. If they don't endorse him now, their days are numbered.

Showing good judgement now, Rick, you should run against Schumer.
