Pakistan say NATO airstrikes breach its air space

Pakistan vehemently protested NATO helicopter strikes that killed more than 70 militants, saying Monday that U.N. rules do not allow the choppers to cross into its air space even in hot pursuit of insurgents.

NATO said it launched the strikes in self-defense after militants attacked a small security post in Afghanistan near the border.

General Pershing pursued into Mexico when Pancho Villa conducted raids into the United States. “Hot pursuit” is a valid argument when there is a repeated pattern of foreign government acquiescence to insurgent aggression on one’s territory.

By the way, What ever happened to Obama’s promise, in his emphatic distinction from Bush, that he would “invade” Pakistan to get bi Laden?
