Wow! The folks at Quake Prdiction were right! Several thousand miles off, but right!

Close enough for government work! Are some government employees running a website on the side?

Quake prediction is predicting a 6.5 to 7.0 quake in Southern California tomorrow! Whoa. That would be a nightmare, pretty big quake if that were to happen.

And that story doesn’t reflect the 7.2 that JUST hit.

The guy doing these predictions did not say anything about the State....he seems to have a hobby predicting earthquakes.

He got one right in April, so he has a few fans now, lol.

The USGS has an epicenter South West of New Guinea. This map shows the epicenter North West of New Guinea...

AP has story that this is a 7.4 magnitude earthquake, but hat is from the Indonesian Government.

I will stick with USGS...

Allah will protect them. Won’t he?

I used to have some hope that people will eventually figure out that Indonesia is 3,000 miles long and has 20 million + Christians.

The closest islands to this Earthquake, the Aru Islands, are, according to wikipedia, "mostly Christian, with a small Muslim minority."

2 separate quakes. 6.6, and one minute later 7.2
Per MSNBC

This provides a much more ‘informative’ view, and is QUICK, and FREE, and IN 3D.

Download the free program (takes about 2 seconds) then run it.

It is awesome and has a ton of neat controls.

I worked at a mine on the west side (Indonesian) of Papau New Guinea. Another engineer there was designing a wall to keep the haul trucks from falling over the edge of a dumping area.

He designed it to withstand an 7.4 EQ which was a fair possibility of happening. His boss at the mine laughed and said “If we even get a 6.4 here the whole place is toast. Just build it so it won’t fall over if a truck hits it at 20 mph.”
