9/11 conspiracy theories rife in Muslim world

ISTANBUL (AP) -- About a week ago, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared to the United Nations that most people in the world believe the United States was behind the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

To many people in the West, the statement was ludicrous, almost laughable if it weren't so incendiary. And surveys show that a majority of the world does not in fact believe that the U.S. orchestrated the attacks.

However, the belief persists strongly among a minority, even with U.S. allies like Turkey or in the U.S. itself. And it cannot be dismissed because it reflects a gulf in politics and perception, especially between the West and many Muslims.

There are plenty of American idiots that think the same way. Stupidity is an equal opportunity employer.

I saw a nice old picture of Manhattan somewhere today, featuring, naturally, those beautiful Twins.

You know what? They were demolished in the name of Islam. So, fu*k Islam, OK? Islamic people can go get their shit together somewhere else and come back when they're steeped in just shame and ready to beg for forgiveness for attacking this city and this country.

Until then, fu(k off.

If the world is “progressing” as the ‘RATS say it is, why the hell are so many people getting dumber? Anybody who really believes that the United States conducted the murders on 09-11-01 is a blithering, slobbering idiot that needs to be locked up. It was all right there on the boob tube. Even a braindead moron should be able to watch something like that and still be able to understand what they just saw.

That attack could have been anywhere. It happened to be the nerve center of trade. Moonbats come from all walks of life. Al Queda is now bitching because of the retaliation of the World. We knew as kids that one day terrorism would come to the US. We never imagined the magnitude.

Actually, there are preferences - as in most things these days - for those who are leftist (or "pre-leftist") in their ideology. They go to the front of the stupid lines. They get preferences in all things stupid.

To wit: I decided to pick up the free rag that they force into your hands while you're trying to get into the subway station every morning. I was waiting for a bagel to be toasted, so in the weakness of boredom I scanned it. When I got to the article featuring a review of a movie about how Paul McCartney really was dead all these years, I found new strength -- from some primitive survival instinct, I trust -- to pull myself away.

This was the same paper (AM New York) that quoted Reuters last week as saying the Segue, that stupid little two-wheeled go-cart, was made famous when George W. Bush fell off of one. It wasn't, apparently, made famous by the biggest pre-release hype of any product in the history of civilization a year before it hit the streets. No. It was only years after, when the President did what just everyone who goes near one of things does - he fell off it.

In fact, the article was about how the president of the company that makes the Segue fell off it, or drove off a cliff or something. I don't suppose that would make it famous, either. Certainly not as famous as Rueters would have it be when W took a spill.

/rant. Man, that was cathartic.

I agree even “hutsie tutsie” Madeline albright said we have all these weapons lets use them. It is time we drop a few small thermo nuclear weapons on the whole pack of rats and turn the middle east into glass. We have the capability to crush them in 10 seconds and sooner or later we will have to go to war so lets get it over with now. I had enough of small time a**holes talk about how bad they are. Time to put up or shut up.

“The Arab can be swung on an idea as on a string.”

“You can make an Arab do anything if you can convince him that it was his idea in the first place.”

- T.E. Lawrence, “Seven Pillars of Wisdom”, 1927

BTW, it was dem JOOOOOOOOOS who carried out the 9-11 atrocities. Ask any Muslim.

I live in Eugene Oregon, I don’t let politics come in between friendships. It’s hard to find conservative friends here.

I'm not shocked that 'the Muslim world' would have a sizable majority of people who want to believe 9/11 was 'an inside job'. This alleged belief conveniently excuses the horror of the acts carried out on that day by dedicated Muslims screaming Allāhu Akbar and frames the United States as even more evil than the hijackers by plotting (and succeeding) to murder it's own citizens as 'an excuse to attack Muslim countries'. Yeah, right. How self-serving can you get?

In Iran and elsewhere Islamic dictators need an enemy and the U.S. fits perfectly because we support Israel and have a strong military presence around the world, which annoys the heck out of dictators and Muslim fanatics. Because the U.S. is currently engaged in fighting Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan, any sympathy for our people has to be quashed. Pretending that you really believe that '9/11' was 'an inside job' plotted by the U.S. government or at least allowed to happen by the government's lack of intervention, becomes almost irresistible. For those Muslims living in oppressive Islamic countries, it's almost axiomatic.
