Ahhhh- the old days- Ft Knox 1976. The Chaplains office had a vending machine for beer. No Pilsner Urquell, but it did supply cold Budweiser when the shopette was closed.
I arrived at my first real duty station in 1970. In the lounge of my barracks was a beer vending machine. I thought I had died and gone to heaven.
I've only been to that airport once or twice, and that was back in the last century, but I remember getting the feeling that it was a very progressive (for lack of a better word) place.
