ArticleListenComments. Share TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Roberto Alomar's wife accuses the former MLB star of having unprotected sex with her even though he is HIV-positive, Florida divorce papers indicate.

Maria Del Pilar Rivera Alomar, 33, says the former all-star second baseman "intentionally, with corrupt intent, concealed from (her) his physical condition" to get her to have unprotected sex with him, the New York Post reported.

Alomar, 42, "knew prior to his first sexual contact with (her) that he was HIV-positive" but not only did he not tell Rivera about his condition, he assured her he had been "tested for sexually transmitted diseases and the tests were negative," the divorce filing states.

Rivera's charges follow claims in a $15 million 2009 lawsuit by former Alomar girlfriend Ilya Dall that Alomar had AIDS, but encouraged her to keep having unprotected sex with him.

Alomar settled the case with her in May.

Rivera states Alomar assured her before their 2009 marriage "he had been tested for sexually transmitted diseases and the tests were negative."

After the wedding she "learned from conclusive proof" he had the human immunodeficiency virus that causes AIDS, the court papers state.

Alomar's lawyers had no immediate comment, the Post said.

Been rumored for a while that Alomar swings both ways.

Another example of the death and disease wrought by this lifestyle.

If proven to be true, he deserves the death penalty. I had followed the news when his girlfriend had accused him. Now I find out he got married and subjected his wife to the same potential fate...

Disgusting...

Convict him.

Execute him.

‘Nuff said.

His wife says she hasn’t tested positive yet, but that not enough time’s gone by to rule it out.

If it can be proven, Roberto needs to be in jail.

Hurts like hell to say that because in 1999 I saw the most complete ballplayer I have had the honor of watching in my 50 years of baseball watching. He did it all hit, hit for power, rbi, steal bases and played the most incredible defensive 2nd base( with another future HoF’er Omar Vizquel).

Why a divorce and not an annulment?

You know what’s funny, Roberto Alomar is the baseball writers pet. They constantly talk about he should be a shoe in for the hall of hame. Despite the fact he spit on an umpire, and didn’t tell his wife and others about his HIV status. His stats are good, bot not a sure thing at all, and throw in the fact that he’s a POS it should be at least 15 years before he gets in. Lots of good ball players not in with similar numbers. Ron Santo is a better player and he did it with severe diabetes.

*He did it all hit, hit for power, rbi, steal bases and played the most incredible defensive 2nd base( with another future HoF’er Omar Vizquel).*

And probably only got just a little help from steroids, along with every other player in my formerly favorite sport. To hell with all of them.
