Not a chance. The Democrats keep 38 Senators just from their victories in 2006 and 2008. Republicans keep just 23. To get a veto-proof majority, Republicans need 67 Senators, excluding RINOs, who comprise a majority of their delegation.

Some people are giddy at the sight of unhatched chickens. They forget that DE is a DEEP blue state. Any pub who isn’t a RINO has very little chance. Considering that, along with all the abuse O’Donnell has taken, she’s doing well.

What if some “Blue Dogs” see the handwriting on the wall and switch parties?

I think that most any time a conservative or a real pub runs in a deep blue state, their numbers are lower than the reality. A recent example is Scott Brown.

Some bad weather on election day will sink some Democrats who might win. There are too many die-hard conservative, GOP, TEA Party, and TEA Party Express that will make it to make -- one way or another...

Doug Flutie and the Boston College Eagles know that sometimes ‘hail Mary’ passes do work. Hopefully, Christine won't even have to try one, but if she does it'll be a flutie.

But even Rasmussen had her down 16 a couple of weeks ago, so she has gained and has momentum, yes she was done 11 a month ago, but she dipped but now has rebounded. That’s different than if she was down 11 for the entire month with no movement at all.

“what are our key words for election night drinking games”?

I am going with “Upset” in 3 of its meanings. Surprise victory, feeling emotionally distraught, and changing the status quo. Suprise victory: “Candidate (fill in GOP name here) won in an upset. Feeling emotionaly distraught: “Candidate(fill in Dem name here) was upset to find out he/she lost”. And changing the status quo: “With gop majorities in both the house and senate, the teaparty movement has upset business as usual inside the beltway”. Whatch out, its a tripple whammy. Don’t play the game and then drive. ;)

I don't know, if he gets in trouble Coons can just print out some of today's photo-ops with Obama and Biden...

(That just cracks me up.)

“They forget that DE is a DEEP blue state”.

No DE is not deep blue. Remember republican Castle was considered a shoo in to replace dem VP Biden. I’d say we are a purple state on the darkish side and thats only because the most populated county of New Castle is heavily urban and liberal. But the other two counties are rural and conservative. Its a small state so all 3 counties inform the voting public. Independents and undecided are easily swayed by both parties IMO. This cycle they will go majority to O’Donnell because of the current mood.

That wasn’t “really” Rasmussen. it was Fox/POR-rasmussen. It didn’t appear on the Rasmussen site.

But, sure, I’ll buy in that she has momentum. It’s the story I like to hear.

I do believe that she did great in the debate.

We shouldn’t be underplaying the visit by Obama and Biden.

I think Coon’s organization has internal polling that shows O’Donnell surging and they are wetting themselves at the White House and in Wilmington where the bulk of her opposition resides.

With other races trending R across the nation there will be undecideds and/or those occasional voters coming to the polls to jump on the apparent winning team’s parade float.

This could be bigger than any of us has dared to hope.

I think it’s a win, and I don’t think a hail mary will be required, but a part of me definitely wants to rip Coons to shreds.

I think it’s in hand. I think the tea party candidates across the country are going to do better than expected. The pollsters have been getting races with tea party candidates wrong. The tea party candidates have been doing better than the polls suggest. I think we’ll have this. And I think that money spent by Christine on the tv commercials will have the desired effect.

Momentum is important, I’d rather be 10 feet underwater going up, than 5 feet underwater going down.
