Note how Stevenss daughter takes care to say that Murky was simply too considerate to air this ad during the primary, out of alleged respect for the family. Now, though, when shes fighting for her political life? Run that baby.
This is, of course, also a not-so-coded appeal to Alaskans that Murkowski will continue to bring home the bacon in terms of federal dollars. Stevens is a congressional hall-of-famer when it comes to delivering pork and Murkys base is counting on her to continue the tradition. I wish I could tell you that this spot didnt worry me, but between sympathy for the Stevens family after his plane crash and the political rehabilitation he enjoyed after the DOJ dropped all corruption charges against him, itll probably help her. Damn.
Exit question: Is it time to explore
the nuclear option? There are a lot of Lisa Ms in Alaska!

This woman is truly unbelievable.
Will he write her in, too?
Will he write her in, too?
This is how deeply Washington corrupts people. It rots the soul and makes them want more power, at any cost. Me, Me, Me!
Out with the old RINO’s-—In with the new conservatives.
Go Joe Miller.
Really, are there going to be people (I mean lots of them) who actually go to the trouble to scribble this she-turd’s name on a ballot??
Yes, yes there will be a lot of people writing in Lisa name
Unions
Oil field workers
Native Corp shareholders
State Govt workers
Oh, and some regular folks.
We shall see in two weeks.
If it is slose - and lisa winns, expect pressure on Joe to “accept” the results.
If Lisa loses (by less than a huge margin) expect to see a court battle. A nasty, expensive court battle.
Big money and unions hate to lose.
Ya know, I have more faith in Ak conservatives than to even entertain a Murkowski win. Maybe Anch will go for her, but I don’t see it out here along the Yukon. I know too many Indians and Whites who are voting for Miller.
Thanks for your perspective. What’s been missing in many of these Alaska election pieces has been to POV from folks on the ground.
Do you see any backlash for those GOP’rs who say that they are backing murcowski?
It also rots the souls of those back home who find the “pork is good” argument appealing.
Everything concerns and frightens the Allahdouche, including his own tiny shadow.
I only know of two women in my rural community who voted for Lisa in primary. Both hate her now, for what she has done. I see everybody getting worried for no reason whatsoever. People in Ak are ultra conservative, we don’t have any taxes or organized local govt where I call home. It fosters freedom. People in Ak got awful upset about Lisa’s pro Obama stance and they ain’t forgetting. In Ak, u don’t believe anything the media sez or what the polls claim; bottomline.
I wonder if Mr. Stevens requested an absentee ballot?
That is because most of the Union drones live in Anchorage.
The Comments on the Anchorage Daily News stories recently have been 7-1 against Miller but Alaskans are shocked by Murkowski’s ad. One poster said Lisa has committed disloyalty, incest and necrophilia. Plenty of Murkowski’s primary supporters say they will vote for Miller.
The ADN newspaper has been ridiculous with its bias. Won’t some GOP campaign donors sue Murkowski?
I don’t know much about the situation, having no Alaska connections, but I can’t think of any grounds donors could base a suit on. Jim Jeffords’ post-election jump to the Dems had to be one of the most blatant donor ripoffs ever, but I don’t remember him suffering any legal consequences from it.
Ted Stevens was a useless enabler of baby-killing and a porkmeister extraordinaire (the GOP’s equivalent of Sheets Byrd). To think, both of them gone in one calendar year. What a crushing blow to the government funds guzzling community!!! And NOW, Princess Lisa, having already lost the primary will demonstrate Alaska’s rejection of the dead Stevens by using him in her ads.
Thanks again. Here’s to Miller in Alaska and Rossi in Washington kicking the lefties to the curb!
