protest in Dover NH over the illegitimate use of Oath Keepers name on an affidavit concerning custody rights with John Irish
The initial report of this incident was so bizarre that I was skeptical. Alas, the report is not bizarre and nuts, the government is.
Developments from:
Government Agents Seize Oath Keeper’s New Born From Hospital (possible hoax)

Most of us thought this was a hoax, but bore watching.
Apparently it is not a hoax, but it still bears watching.
The hoax is not that it didn’t happen. The hoax is: that it happened because of Irish’s affiliation with Oathkeepers. That was not the case.
It happened “because of” many factors. Since the affidavit and court order specifically mentioned affiliation with Oath Keepers as a cause of concern for the child’s welfare, it is undeniable that it was one of those factors.
The mother is not much better. Her other 2 children have been removed from her and she is still married to those children's father and living with Irish.
It's despicable that this story was released under the premise that the baby was taken because of the affilitation with the Oathkeepers and the reporter that made the original Youtube video has extensive credibility problems of his own. If you listen to Irish on that vid, he drops the F bomb every few sentences. Just lovely.
It's another case of producing babies by multiple fathers, shacking up with the latest daddy and the latest daddy screaming 'they're picking on me because I'm with Oathkeepers' (and he btw, IS NOT a dues paying member).
Oathkeepers has been dragged into this and all this outrage is directed at the wrong people. It should be directed at the stupid low class, trailer park trash couple.
A similar government narrative as Waco, then.
The language in the affidavit stumbles into confusing Oath Keepers with a militia. As an attorney, I come to know some things about Child Protective Services that are not too flattering, and it is entirely credible that, owing to a combination of exposure to liberal media and a lazy lack of research, they really thought being in Oath Keepers meant Irish was involved with some darkly paramilitary, anti-government, violence prone group. Like Zeppo said, it just wouldn’t have made it into the affidavit at all if the CPS people didn’t believe it strengthened their case that the child was at risk of being harmed by Irish. His “priors” just increased the presumption of guilt sans evidence. I’m not letting Irish off the hook, but there really are serious due process problems in family court nation-wide.
Apples and Oranges.
Exactly. Which supports my assertion. It is a damning indictment of the faulty process used by the State to justify their action.
The State used it as one of the factors that it claimed constituted causes of concern for the welfare of the child. That was completely unwarranted, and justifies the outrage directed at the State.
Actually, Oathkeepers had nothing to do with it. It would be nice if people could see through what is going on here. Everyone who is screaming about this has been duped if they believe it’s anything to do with the Oathkeepers, including Oathkeepers. This couple is scum. Oathkeepers was added by some yahoo state worker to shore up their case when in fact they had enough to proceed without Oathkeepers. And this couple, specifically Irish, is trying to deflect all attention from the fact that he is a low life.
That being the case, they succeeded... because there CAN BE NO justification for adding that an affiliation with OathKeepers (called wrongly a “militia,” NOT that there’s anything wrong with militias!!!) is or should ever be a factor in ANY proceeding of this nature. So if they’re a trashy couple, fine, but leave the unconstitutional references to affiliations out of it or lose the battle. They lost the battle on its account, AS THEY SHOULD HAVE. Your distaste for the parents is obvious and may be justified; I don’t know. But in cases like this you MUST defend even the lowlifes if you want YOUR rights to be protected. And THAT is what all the hoopla’s about.
