Lowering the brightness and boosting contrast on that image helps considerably. (A bit of sharpening doesn't hurt, either...)

FWIW, that area is loaded with AAA and SAM sites! There is certainly something there they want to protect...

Easy enough to figure out since they have it on Google maps. I just expanded the view, found the highway (5) and the site is just north of the highway between the two cities Adhra and Al’Qutayfah.

Not following you. Our Points are about 22 miles apart but yours places me on a road next to some farm land south east of Dimashq. Mine (deg, min, & sec.) places me directly on the base pictured above.
