Anyone know what happened to Tolik? He hasn't been around since February and he was one of the most faithful ping list keepers we had.
I am posting this here in News/Activism because this is where he always hung out. If the mods want to move this... well, I guess they will.

Has anyone noticed that there are fewer comments on almost every thread? Still miss the ‘view count’. It’s comforting to see which topics get attention.

Wait until after the election, maybe it will pick up again. These days it's hard to think of anything that hasn't been said a hundred times already. Personally I'm so sick of waiting I can't stand it anymore and lurk but seldom post. Maybe there are a lot of impatient FReepers like me??
You’re in good company. I rarely comment because there’s an erudite, consistently conservative and highly entertaining choir to preach to on FR that beats me to the commentary punch every time. You pick your targets carefully and try not to state what has already been effectively said; easier said than done on some topics. I don’t know what I’d do without FR.

Yeah - like the self-proclaimed ‘wits’ who think that “it’s the Amish”, and “Bush’s Fault” is the height of erudite comment...
And the resident gaggle of Republican-bots who apparently make their living by swarming threads to call everybody ‘communist trolls’....
The “noise to news ratio” on FR has gotten even more dismal than usual, lately.....
