Just went out and voted at Early Voting. The polling place was at the Palm Center on Griggs Road which is in Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee's district. Observations:
1. Democrat turnout was very slow. No lines.
2. There were about 20 paid Card Pushers for the dims in the parking lot.
3. There were NO POLL WATCHERS! Every poll worker was a Democrat. COME ON PEOPLE; ITS SATURDAY FER CRISSAKE. CAN'T SOMEONE VOLUNTEER?
4. OK, deep breathing. There was a lone Card Pusher from Faulk for Congress, Sheila's Republican opponent. When Sheila spotted me talking with the Card Pusher, she sent a few of her troops over to see what we were talking about.
Analysis:
1. We still don't have enough troops in the field. Need more Poll Watchers.
2. The reason that every poll worker is a dim is that no Republicans stepped forward to take one of these PAID positions. Can't anybody take vacation to work the election?
Can’t we just have her “cited” at a polling place?
Arrest her !!!
Sounds like she is staying in the parking lot, this time.
As long as she stays outside the markers (100 feet or yards?), she's legal.
Egads, hope you went home and doused yourself in Lysol.
All this early voting crap is only about giving the RATS more time to stuff ballots or jigger up the machines.
I see no need to have more than two days available to vote. If you’re not going to be home on election day, get an absentee ballot.
What? If I showered it would wash away the sweet scent of democrat fear from my nostrils.
Seriously, Sheila never had to sweat a campaign in the past. Faulk’s campaign did a magnificent job of placing Republican Alternate Judges and Poll Watchers. However, this morning was a dissappointment.
Send fresh horses.
How come you didn’t poll watch?
He’s a judge.
Noob, buddy, we cannot fix the mess overnight. Until then we gotta get Republican poll workers and Poll Watchers in there. The system is what it is today. Without action, the commies will win every time.
As for the machines, the ESlate used in Harris County (Houston) is virtually un-hackable. Multiple sealed computer memories and a paper tape record the votes. That’s why the warehouse with 10,000 ESlates was torched a few weeks ago.
I was a Poll Watcher when we had paper ballots and fraud was MUCH easier then. For example, read my post from the 2000 election. Voters were handed pre-punched ballots, multiple ballots, and the dim poll workers unlocked the Ballot Box to “count” the ballots. Plenty of opportunities to punch extra holes.
With the ESlate we need a Poll Watcher at the Sign In Desk to make sure that IDs and Voter Registration Cards are legit. At the same time we need a Poll Watcher at the Judge Ballot Computer in the back. The dim workers have been observed printing out 5-20 extra Access Codes which they then hand to their activist buddy who then votes 20 times! Finally, we need a Poll Watcher to make sure that the dim Judges don’t tell people who to vote for while they are “assisting” the voters.
As you can see, there are lots of ways to cheat and we need to counter every one of them.
No use crying about vote fraud after you get your ass kicked.
Valet?
So where is the opponent? He ought to be right there next to her with his entorage provoking a scene by gladhanding in like fashion. Come on now, I know of the people running his campaign. Surely they aren’t being passive. This is one election the rats have to lose.
This is also the flaw with such a long early voting season. It’s too tempting to use it to campaign in overdrive. This just another example of the messed up state of affairs we find ourselves facing. Early voting was given in on to liberals after they failed to install Gore in 2000. It should be one of the first things conservatives roll back. Only used for people who are going to be absent election day or people with handicapped stickers. Like it used to be.
Ahhhh.
That’s a fair question.
I am working today. I have worked 7 days a week for the past 5 months. However, I am the Republican Alternate Judge in a dim precinct on 11/2.
When I had a corporate job, I used a week of vacation every election cycle. Now that I am an entrepreneur, it costs me $500 each day I don’t work. The economic downturn hit my company hard and I don’t like laying my people off.
I decided that if someone will buy my company I will enter my next career: COMMUNITY ORGANIZER.
Get off your butt John Faulk. Lee doesn’t have poll watchers. She’s got an entourage. Get yours out there. Or don’t you want it bad enough?
I don’t know about the other states but Texas began in person early voting in the primaries of 1996. I think there are some 31 states that have some form of in person early voting.
Inside or outside the 100 foot limit, that sounds perilously close to candidate-directed voter intimidation to me. You should definitely let the Faulk campaign know. And kudos to the brave Faulk campaigner, sounds like hazard pay duty to me.
Thanks. txhurl advised me you were a judge. Quick question. I don’t know if laws vary state to state, but can you be a poll watcher in a district, other than your own?
You are dead on. We have to flood every precinct with Conservative workers. I volunteered to be a pollwatcher but was needed more as a card pusher. I’m working on a Texas state rep’s campaign during early voting every day I can and working all day Nov 2. Every Freeper should be doing something on the local level every election. The Dims have taken over and we need to take it back.
