More than an hour into today's presidential rally at USC, actor Jamie Foxx led the crowd chant of "We're not exhausted."
It's not much of a rallying cry. But for much of the crowd of 37,500, it wasn't even true. Attendees were made to stand in line for hours before being subjected to too many speakers and too much Ozomatli.
By the time Jerry Brown hit the stage, he had to apologize for even being there. "I'm not going to talk too long," he said, drawing a chorus of cheers.
By the time Obama took the stage -- at 2:05 p.m. -- many folks had been on their feet for five hours. He made sure people got what they came for -- a good, solid 25 minutes of Republican-bashing red meat. If you've seen any of the president's other recent rallies on C-SPAN, you got the gist.

Were not exhausted. Thatll really fire up the voters. Yay.

Just so long as they don’t figure out real stirring stuff like:
“We don’t suck that bad. We don’t suck that bad. We don’t suck that bad.”
or:
“It could be worse. It could be worse.”
“What do we want? - STUFF! When do we want it? - THE FIRST OF THE MONTH!”
“We’re not exhausted” = “We’re not educated”.
I cannot honestly say that I am astounded by the amount of mental illness pervading the university system these days. Disturbed by it, yes. But am I astounded anymore? No.
It's like some sick, twisted return to Jonestown, but graciously it is limited to the university atmosphere.
Sounds like a party. Why didn’t they just wheel in the Teleprompter five hours earlier and then after cheering at it every few seconds, everyone couldn’ve gone home.
Then they could watch the news, and some reporter could READ the Teleprompter for them.
Does USC even have 37,000 students? Did the entire student body attend this rally? I am a little skeptical of these numbers, they seem inflated ever since Beck’s rally. The Ohio State rally reported similar numbers, but it certainly did not seem like that many were there from the pictures given.
