President Obama in trouble

Op-ed: As elections loom, US president losing support of once - sympathetic voters

In the last elections campaigns, it was possible to point to a political gender-based gap. While men tended to vote Republican, women tended to vote Democrat. Yet the recent polls show that the female vote is also shifting to the Right. Some 52% of women still support the Democrats, yet this marks a sharp drop in the face of the masculine zeal to topple the Left, and Obama knows it. Hence, his West Coast trip is dedicated to meetings with women and efforts to boost two female Democrats who had been serving in Senate for 18 years now.

Yet it's not only the women who are abandoning the Democrats. Americans who are 50 years of age and above are concerned that Democratic policies will undermine their future old-age allowances. Young Americans are also making it difficult for Obama. The 30-and-below group that brought him to power two years ago is known as an elusive constituency, and it is doubtful whether young voters will be heading to the polling stations en masse in nine days.

Obama and the Dems don't have much constituency left, except unions.

52 percent of women are still desperately misguided.

I'm at least glad to see that the number is dropping.

btw, this headline is the best thing I've read all day. Thanks. :)

I loved the title too — I like articles with similar titles — but most do NOT appear in the MSM — this is from an Israeli paper.

I just tried the link again, worked before, now all of a sudden it’s not working.

Agree that the percentage will be lower 2 years from now.

The obvious silver lining in the very dark and dangerous cloud of Obama is that he is so extreme that he is waking the mushy middle up.......and that must include some women who wanted him to be the nice guy he pretended to be, and are not happy that he is revealing that he is a creepy, condescending punk.

Most adult women don't like punks. Only the hardcore will still support him.

The link worked for me.

btw, it was good to see a Kasich ad on that page - is that localized or does everyone see it? (Forgive my stupidity :). The Dems are pouring money into Ohio because we are a must win for the rats, and Obama has a VERY low approval rating here. Strickland has got to go, and I'm hoping that Obama's endless appearances here will help us get rid of him!

I wish women knew better in the first place. It is a shame they have to be motivated by revenge and not just the truth.

...[Americans] 50 years of age and above are concerned that Democratic policies will undermine their future old-age allowances

This over-50 American is concerned the Democratic policies will simply destroy America as we know and cherish it. It is obvious that they want to turn us into a third-world hell-hole while preserving all the benefits to the ruling elite and to the parasitic underclass. Yes that will "undermine my old-age allowance," but that is not my chief concern.

Women wanted to believe Obama was actually the guy he pretended to be; smart (everybody said so) smooth and competent. A good guy that that they could depend on to take care of the problems and do so with style. Now, they can see him for what he is; arrogant, condescending and threatening their financial security and that of their families as he creates massive change with no regard to what Americans actually want. In short: Obama has turned off many women - and millions more independents. He will not get them back because he will not alter his course. Instead, Obama will likely ‘double down’ in his last two years as president. It will be dark days for America but we’ll overcome and survive him. We’re Americans.

Barry did a lot of damage in the last 2 years with the help of Congressional accomplices. It doesn't matter what happens next. He's like a smiling skunk who just got done spraying. It will take a lot of tomato juice to clean up this mess.
