Op-ed: As elections loom, US president losing support of once - sympathetic voters
In the last elections campaigns, it was possible to point to a political gender-based gap. While men tended to vote Republican, women tended to vote Democrat. Yet the recent polls show that the female vote is also shifting to the Right. Some 52% of women still support the Democrats, yet this marks a sharp drop in the face of the masculine zeal to topple the Left, and Obama knows it. Hence, his West Coast trip is dedicated to meetings with women and efforts to boost two female Democrats who had been serving in Senate for 18 years now.
Yet it's not only the women who are abandoning the Democrats. Americans who are 50 years of age and above are concerned that Democratic policies will undermine their future old-age allowances. Young Americans are also making it difficult for Obama. The 30-and-below group that brought him to power two years ago is known as an elusive constituency, and it is doubtful whether young voters will be heading to the polling stations en masse in nine days.

I will tell you from experience womens powdered douche works just as well if not better to get rid of skunk scent. I had a very pregnant Great Dane which got gassed and the lady at the checkout told me of the alternate to tomato juice. much easier to use and worked great.
I share your optimism. Obama isn't "Satan", even though he often behaves like a minor demon. We've survived the Jimmy-Carter Years, the Cold War Stare-Down with the Soviets, especially 9/11/01, and we'll find the resiliency and innovation to survive baby-child-Obama & his Socialist-Muslim hordes.

I may be too optimistic, but I think some fundamental learning as to what the left really wants is taking place, and the vast majority of Americans just don't want it.

you mean when Sarah runs for president? hillary can’t run unless Obama dies of natural causes in office.....not likely. hillary could not carry the black vote if she runs against Obama and won.....they would all stay home and she would lose.
He will move on to the world stage next year - leaving Hillary to secure his second term for the party. And, of course, whoever runs as a D will win 90% of the black vote.
Obama and the Dems don’t have much constituency left, except unions.

They still have a shot at a Clintonian plurality win in 2012 if they can find the right “independent” candidate to split the opposition vote.
