Huckabee blasts Rove, 'elitist' GOP establishment

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee today broadened the assault on the Republican Party establishment and former Bush adviser Karl Rove in particular levied recently by Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh, blasting the "elitism" and "country club attitude exhibited by Rove and others who dismissed Delaware Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell.
"I was very disappointed in some, particularly Karl and others, who were so dismissive of Christine O'Donnell," Huckabee told Aaron Klein on the latter's WABC radio show Sunday.
"Unfortunately, there is an elitism within the Republican establishment," Huckabee told Klein. "And it's one of the reasons the Republicans have not been able to solidify not only the tea party movement but solidify conservatives across America."
"It's about, again, to be blunt, the kind of country club attitude that we're not sure there are certain people we really want as members of the club and we're not going to vote them in. And we don't mind showing up to events to put up signs and making phone calls and going door to door making those pesky little trips that we don't like to do, but we really don't want them dining with us in the main dining room," he said.

I’ll tell you what I’m tired of. Big spending, nanny-state, open borders, soft-on-crime, Jimmy Carter foreign policy, socially-conservative-but-economic-liberals like Huckabee thinking that they are what this party needs.

As others have pointed out, this is nothing more than Huckabee trying to position himself for another Presidential run in 2012. First he attacks, smears, and ambushes Ann Coulter on his show like he has never done to anyone because she dared to call him a liberal. Now, he's trying to hop on the anti-establishment bandwagon. Gee, Huck, what did you do as governor when you were the "establishment"? Oh, that's right, you raised taxes, increased the nannystate, cuddled up to illegal aliens, released dangerous criminals, kept Clinton's cronies employed in your administration, and pretty much destroyed the Arkansas GOP.
The Huckster is a joke. Hey, Mike, be happy with your little FNC gig. Don't blow it. Quit using it as a platform to prove your conservative "creds". You have none.

They are all trying to jump to the grass roots side and then claim they were there all along. Keep one eye open all the time on them.
But it's too late.....only one person who is a potential to run has consistently defended the Grassroots movement and jumped on board from the beginning without hesitation...and SHE will get the majority of their support hands down when that times come. SHE was on the front lines taking hits with them when the charge of racism was levied, SHE called it the "beautiful movement"...she fully embraced it. You know who I'm talking about? lol!

What are the odds of a Romneybot such as Gop Lady supporting that idea when their “precious” is one.

Indeed they do apply to her. She is a mitten kitten.
Poor, poor kitty.
I'm sure glad I won't have to worry about Mitt or Huck in 2012. Sarah Palin will obliterate both of them on her stroll to the Oval Office.

I have to tell you though I met Shelby Friday evening and sat and ate a seafood dinner with him for about 30 minutes and I was very surprised at what a down to earth person he is.... I’ve never been a huge Shelby fan but now I’ll have no problem voting for him..........

Don’t trust them, they’ll attempt to do the same thing they did in 2008, They’ll use calumny to try to discredit any true conservatives and then try to split conservative voters so they can get a RINO like Romney nominated.
Ever vigilant my FRiend.

I have two litmus tests: (1) attitude toward Sarah Palin, and now (2) attitude toward Christine O’Donnell.
These are two strong, articulate, and principled women who deserve the highest respect. I have nothing but contempt for those who abuse them.
