I don't know if you stated that as tongue in cheak or not, but that's EXACTLY why. The muzzies have entered these societies and are holding them hostage, abusing them, threatening them,
and the "hostages" are now doing what they can to gain the favor of their abusers.
This is the opposite of the Muslim males' attitude towards women: "If you can't join them, beat them!"

Because ignorance and false ideas about christianism, theology, philosophy and history are huge in the western “liberal” societies and specially in UK because of anglicanism.
In the liberal secularist societies there have been no more ,or so little, teachings and transmission of the christian legacy. On the contrary the liberal MSM ,the education system, arts and films have relentlessly attacked and weakened treacherously the christianism.
At the same time one should notice that some bishops and christians from the anglican church are going to the catholic church in UK....
Haven’t read the article yet, but here’s my take — maybe it’s some kind of bizarre pychological backlash to modern feminism. I mean, you can’t get much further back in the cause for “women’s rights” than Islam, where you publicly tell people you’re okay with a man beating you for showing a flash of ankle. Maybe this is their way of subconsciously saying, enough responsibility already, someone just make my decisions for me.
Of course, these women aren’t about to move to Saudi or Iran or somewhere, where they’d be kept prisoners in their own homes and truly have to face the consequences of their “spirituality.” So it basically amounts to a game of dress up. After all, in the UK a woman can still change her mind. For now.
Ding, ding, ding! We HAVE a winner.

For the same reason British intellectuals have often converted to Islam: to express their hatred of the West and Christianity, to get to wear exotic garb and pretend they belong to another culture, and to preen and attract attention to themselves.

Converting to a religion that treats you as a 4th class citizen, is based in oppression, fear, murder and terrorism sounds like a good choice...

I KNEW that would be in there somewhere. These liberals first do everything in their power to water down Christianity... and then once they have succeeded... convert to another religion that hasn't been watered down.
Face it, the “big tent” philosophy of the current Christian churches is a recipe for disaster. If a church is not willing to stand up for what is right... then it is useless.
A pure example of the failure of the Christian “religion”. We have taken down the fences that human beings yearn for. It does come down to culture. Satan reigns in the world and people are enticed to partake in the world. Without the fences of faith, people soon find that the world gives no lasting fulfillment, but by then they have lost touch and knowledge of the true faith. God does demand obedience, but it is our “choice” as to whether we obey and find peace, or disobey and find a void. These women are trying to fill that void. Their ignorance of the true faith is an indictment of the Church and the culture.
Secular Humanism has a terrible price. This is only a small part of the havoc it will eventually play.
I would agree with this, and the resultant quest for something spiritual to fill that void. Islam is perceived as a very strong and popular choice.

They enjoy being beaten and abused and besides, they can be as ugly or fat as they wish and the burka hides it.
If you read the article and see the pictures, these are NOT unattractive women who think they can only find a husband easier if their faces are covered. Anyway, their faces aren’t covered.
No, it’s simpler and sadder: they are people who are hungry for God, but in the UK the Christian faith has retreated so far into meaningless platitudes that it provides no stabilizing effect on society, no connection with God, no help for families or connection between people. It has backpeddled, and Western society has become decadent as a result. Any faith that offered traditional values would draw converts. These are lonely, God-starved people, and Islam is giving them empty calories.
