Boxer faces ethics complaint for telling teachers to send students to work for campaign

In a close election race against former Hewlett-Packard executive Carly Fiorina, California Democrat Sen. Barbara Boxer is facing new ethics complaints over asking teachers to send their students to work for her campaign.

In an Oct. 27 letter to California education authorities, the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association (HJTA), a non-profit group urging lower taxes, said, “In abject ignorance of California state law, the political campaign of Senator Barbara Boxer has openly solicited teachers employed by [Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD)] to urge their students to volunteer for her campaign.”

The HJTA letter refers to a letter obtained by the Flash Report, an influential California political blog, from the Boxer campaign that urges teachers to recruit their students to work for Boxer’s campaign.

“As you may know, Senator Boxer is facing her toughest race yet,” the letter from Boxer says, “please let us know if your students are able to help.”

Boxer’s campaign was unable to immediately comment on either its letter nor the HJTA’s letter.

HJTA’s letter cites a portion of California law governing teachers’ conduct which makes it illegal for teachers to solicit political support of students, including donations and volunteer work.

I think it’s time to BAN all politicians from any State Supported Educational institution.....maybe we could get 50 state initiatives going next year.

Isn't it interesting that the Democrats think they have some righteous claim on the time and lives of students and children in America. I believe that the commie Democrats actually think they own America"s schools, children and college students. Incredibly ugly arrogance on the Dems part.

I would have to challenge that statement. She is related to the Kennedy’s.

Who is, Boxer? I believe her daughter was/is married to one of Hillary's brothers.

Nah, she is a cousin or something. The connection is directly through her.

Barbara Boxer is dumber than a box of Barbara Boxers.

Unfortunately, the people who vote for her are dumber than a box full of boxes of Barbara Boxers.

I just gave myself a headache...

For someone who “worked so hard” to become a Senator, I guess Boxer never bothered to read the laws.

I'm sure she has read them well. She also knows they will never, ever be enforced as long as liberals decide who gets prosecuted, and when.

That's the quintessence of dumb right there. I mean rock-hard dumb. Dehydrated-rock-hard dumb. Dumb, so dumb it goes way beyond the dumb we know into a whole different dimension of dumb. She is trans-dumb dumb. Meta-dumb. Dumb collapsed on itself so far that even the neutrons have collapsed. Dumb gotten so dense that no intellect can escape. Singularity dumb. Blazing hot mid-day sun on Mercury dumb. She emits more dumb in one second than our entire galaxy emits in a year. Quasar dumb.

Maybe the primary reason California is a far left state is that about 60% of the population is very laid back, prefer to work as less as possible while collecting welfare off the rich? And this is why they are voting for Boxer? are they all expecting more bailouts (aka, free Obama money)?

I had a teacher who told us to tell our parents to vote for Carter! When I told my dad that, he got a good laugh, and then told me to tell the teacher to give him a call if she wanted him to vote a certain way. I was in the 4th grade so I relayed the message. She actually called and by the end of the conversation told my dad she was voting for Reagan! My dad told her that would be great, but the main point he wanted to get across was to stop scaring 4th graders into supporting certain candidates. She had told us Reagan would ruin our school! My dad also felt the need to tell her that she should remember she worked for the tax payers and not vice versa. Years later he ran for mayor, and she claims she even voted for him! But it makes you wonder how many of those 4th graders internalized the idea that republicans are bad based on what one ignorant teacher had said.

Check out Ann Coulter’s column this week.

Ann describes some of Boxer's comments on the Senate floor surrounding the Abortion debate. Boxer is not only dumb, she is delusional.

That’s because they suffer either no penalty or a small penalty. The rats protect their own and the pubs just let it go.
